Eyton on Yarra
Christina lent us her car on Sunday to go to the Yarra Valley (about an hour's drive east of Toorak) where there are lots of vineyards.  We enjoyed the green scenery and Ben tasted wine at one place - Eyton.
We went to the Maroondah Reservoir Park where we saw one of the dams which supply water to Melbourne.  We couldn't have lunch at the recommended Yarra Dairy because it was booked out so headed back towards Melbourne and ended up with a very nice and cheap take-away pizza on the shore of Lilydale Lake, a sort of suburban waterhole, well-patronised by lots of families with dogs.

On the way back, we didn't go straight home but drove into the city to the Fitzroy and Treasury Gardens for a wander and icecream (and more staring at weddings). Captain Cook's cottage was brought over to Fitzroy Gardens and is open to the public, but we didn't go in. It looks tiny and very English. The conservatory in the Fitzroy Gardens was featuring colourful Calceolaria. .

Customs House
On Monday we left our bags at the bus terminal so we could spend the day in the city. Our first stop was a clothing factory outlet. We went to Brunswick St (near Fitzroy Gardens) to look at the shops and have lunch, then back into the city to the Immigration Museum which is in Customs House opposite the Casino (near Southbank). That was fascinating, with lots of different people's stories and the changing attitude to immigration over the years. There was so much to see and read, and a special exhibition of Korean wrapping cloths and clothes was also on so we ran out of time and almost didn't make the bus to the airport.
