Only Ugly People Can Work at"Wendy's"

I know that you reading the title of this is going to make me come off sounding completely naive and insensitive( I don't think I spelled that write). But just hear me out, alright?

Now this is something I have been meaning to write about for some time, but only now have I really gotten around to doing. I have to thank my good friend Eric for his encouragment on me getting this off my chest.

This all began last Summer, when Eric and I decided to go out one afternoon for some tasty food from the well known, fast-food restauraunt Wendy's.  Wendy's has always been a good fast-food joint. I find myself quite fond of the tasty Spicey Chicken Sandwhiches. Those of you who know me well enough are quite aware of this. But anyways, I'm straying from the story. As Eric and I made our way to the line, I noticed a farely attractive, young girl, working the regester of the line we were in. We were approximetly three to four customers back. Soon, it was time for the customers in front of us to place their order. They were two young, highschool looking boys, maybe 16 or 17. The girls helping looked about the same age. So there they are, giving their order. So whatever, no big deal, right? So they begin to leave as I make my way to the register. Eric goes first and puts in his order, blah blah blah, he gets his food and sits down. I step forward to give her my order, and just as this happens, one of the two teenage boys comes up to the register and says to the girl working there "Me and my friend want you to know that we think you are too good lookingto work here". The girl continues to stand there with the expression on her face that seems to say "ooooookay". But she tells them thanks and he goes and sits back down. The girl and I exchange glances as if to say "alllllllright". So I give my order, I get my food, and I sit down, and I discuess the occurance with Eric.

He and I both believe that this is to be the worse pick-up line we have ever heard.  First of all, what the hell was that kid thinking? It got me to thinking about how funny it would be if you couldn't be good looking and work at Wendy's, or any other fast food place for that matter.

How strange would it be, to go to an interview at Wendy's and have the manager say something along the lines of "Hmmmm, well, you seem to have all the right qualifications and experiance, but I'm sorry, we can't give you the job. You are far too good looking to work here". And what about the "ugly" people? Would the manager say something like "You have no experiance...no past qualifications, but you are pretty damn ugly...welcome aboard!"....I doubt it.

But that is basicly what I wanted to talk about. So hopefully the title makes a little more sense now.
