The Bible dosent seem that relevent to what is going on in the world today does it? No, thats because it was written to specific aundiences and ancient cultures thousands of years ago.
The Bible itself was written over many hundreds and even thousands of years. But the message has not changed.
The messangers change but the message stays the same. Once you get that message you can, and must, apply it to your own situation here and now.

This is what the Lord says:
For three sins of Africa even for four I will not turn back my wrath. Because you allowed corruption to destroy innocent lives. Because you traded in arms to kill and not food to eat and because you trained children to kill. Because you took captive whole communities and sold them into slavery. Because you massacred millions because of differences in tribe and religion.
For three sins of Asia and for four I will not turn back my wrath. Because you have Submitted to Islam and turned your backs on the truth. Because you have treated women like dirt and abused them. Because you have engaged in terrorism and blown up the innocent. Because you have persecuted my people.
For three sins of Latin america and for four I will not turn back my wrath. Because you have preffered to grow drugs than food even if it is in short supply. Because you have let corruption rule your countries. Because you have let street gangs rob and kill. Because you have let the rich live in luxary whilst the poor live in the sewers.
At this point the rich wing half of the world are celebrating Gods judgement on the poor and needy. They are happy because they believe that the poor in this world are only poor because they are immoral and lazy and that God has judged them at last and the poor are packing up and leaving. But the most important part is coming next:
For three sins of the west and for four I will not turn back my wrath. You have sold the righteous people in this world to make yourselves richer, you let the needy starve to make you a cheap pair of shoes. You trample on the heads of thre poor and deny them the justice they deserve. All you care about is sex and celebraties whilst real life passes you by. You take the money people have lent you and invest it in the arms trade and fund the evil in this world for your own benefit.

Your Judgement will be worse than all the others. I released you from slavery to the pagan Gods and gave you my gospel messgage. You have known of me for hundreds of years and I have made you rich and powerfull. Yet you throw it all back in my face by torturing the people I wanted you to help.
Take your church services away from me with all your fancy music equipment and your big immpressive buildings, I dont want to hear your singing. I won't accept the offerings you give to me until there is justice in this world. You can shove your contemporary christian music up your ass because until there are no more starving people in this world the blood is on your hands.
Stop being complacent full of pride start living right and you may have a chance. You are staring judgement in the face and you sit there feeling full of pride because you are white westeners. You think theres something special about you your superiour to the other nations I have created. Pile of crap, you are acting in a way that makes you lower than dogs.
Compare this with the real book of Amos found in the Bible. Same message different times.
