Here is my DIY refugium. It will use a
Hagen 402 adjustable flow powerhead
for the water in. The middle chamber will house some southdown and live rock. For the return I am going to use my SeaClone skimmer, hence the reason for the adjustable flow powerhead. I work next to a glass shop so the plexi was FREE. All I paid for was the Weldon #16. So the total cost on this was $3.99 + tax.

LIGHTS
This is my DIY canopy. I am a corrugated designer so I made this entirely out of corrugated (cardboard). It is a millitary grade called V3C which is weather resistand board. This is the second one I have made for my tank only because I added extra lights and had to enlarge it. The origional was still in perfect shape. I am running 1 20w Actinic 1 20w full spectrum and 2 75w LOA power compacts. I am also running a Radio Shack fan on one end. The 20W's run on one timer and the 75w's and fan on another. All together this entire setup cost me around $75.00. Thats including the ballasts and fixtures for the 20w fluorscents.
