What's New
For 2001 not alot will be changing. I have added some new parts to the car though. I started by ditching the factory power steering, and replacing it with a manual unit. This alone saved at least 20lbs. from the nose of the car. I replaced the old carpet with new from ACC and what a difference! I finally installed a Tee valve to turn my nitrous flow on and off from the drivers seat, which saves a person in the staging lanes with me and could be a handy safety feature if the worst case senario should ever happen. I just installed a set of 28 X 10.5 MT Drags, replacing the 26 X10's. I now am faced with clearance problems on the inner wheel well. Nothing a BFH can't take care of though. With that solved I am now looking at the outerwheel well lip! Kinda close, but if I can keep th ecar from leaning so much on launch I won't worry about it. I usually preload the car with a rear air bag on the Passenger side to combat this problem, but now I'm not sure it will keep the tire away from the lip. I will try 50-60 or more lbs. of air and see what happen, but if that don't work I will be installing a Wolfe Racecraft Anti Sway Bar, which would keep the car level on launch. I should have more on this subject soon. Also new on the car is a March Adjustable Alternator Bracket, which neggates the old factory bracket that held both the alt. and the smog pump. The March bracket is great looking and definatly a quaility piece, I recommend it highly. I am getting closer to being barely streetable in this thing. I tore out all the heating system over the winter for more weight savings, and easy access to wiring under the dash. Hope it don't get to cold out this year at the track. I also removed the console and moved the shifter back 5" for a easier reach with the harness on. Check out the Photos Page for interior pics. That's all for now, but check back often for more updates!

Well I was getting all pumped up about racing when we got hit with 10" of SNOW! Oh well it comes with the territory. I will be beating the wheel wells tommorow, should be interesting! I have installed another dzus fastener to the center lower edge of the hood to help keep it from flapping when the speeds get up over 70mph. I'm tring to figure out what national races I wish to attend for 2001, I was thinking Columbus again but, have decided to just watch there. I hope to hit Fun Ford Weekend in Norwalk Ohio, NMRA Reading PA, and both the J+P Shootouts at Cayuga Dragway in Canada, along with the five MOM's event's. That's it for now.

Let's see, I got the wheel well's done, not as easy as it look's! I am still waiting for some dry roads so I can go and launch the car and see what happens. After saying I'm going, I'm not going for months now I have finally decided to make a return to National Trail Raceway in Columbus Ohio to participate in the NMRA All-Star Nationals May 5-7th. I will be running in the open comp. class again, and I am hoping for a better time than last year, not that last year was'nt fun , but I had trouble tuning the car in ,and had a nitrous solinoid freeze up in the first round of eliminations, which ended my weekend. Look how often I change my mind the post above say's I'm not going to Columbus!LOL! I know the wife really want's to go back to do some shopping at all the outlet malls so hey why not take the car out and try again at getting in the magazines. I figure if it pulls the wheels like the end of last year I might get some attention, and if nothing else a cool new shirt with my car pulling the wheels on it! We will be staying at the Super 8 which is the NMRA's host hotel for this event so that's where all the racers will be, and it's only 3 miles from the track. I really hope they have the hooters cruise this season again. I missed out on the last one and it sounded like a blast, lot's of cars, and racers hanging out on friday night should be cool. I still have some small things to take care of yet, I need to get my long front wheel studs pressed in the new rotors and order a new harness, as the time ran out on the old one. Other than that I think I'm ready ,and I should do much better this year there. This weekend is the little MOM's get together in Rochester, Last year was fun and this yaer should be great with a few more people expected to show. I'll have some pics of it up soon as we get back.

The MOM's get together was fairly successful even thought he weather was horrible. We all gathered for dinner and headed out on the town, some went to one place and rest went to another place, as for myself I had a blast. Drove the car to work today and all seems to be working well, so things are looking good for this season. I ordered my new harness and as luckj would have it, it's on a 3 week back order! Oh well I can wait. I should be going to Naples for the MOM's meeting of the minds, to see what changes will be made to the racing format for this season, I have had some input and ideas from racers that might help smooth out some of the rough edges we seem to keep carring over from year to year, I will be sure and let you know what transpires. Frank Kramers car is alive finally, he says it's got alot more power than last year, and well it should! Hopefully he can get it tuned in fairly well by the first race, and lay down some good passes. I'm needing some pictures of racers to put up on here so come on guys send em to me! Here's a little gossip for ya Max Gross will be racing in Hot Street NMRA trim this season busting out low 9's on alll motor, Ed Imhoff has sold his old 347 that took him deep into the 8's and is now building a killer 427 cubic inch small block to put him hopefully into the 8.1-8.0 range! Any body else got any gossip or rumors? Let me know!

Well some new things to report, I have gotten rid of my GT seats and hve gone with a light weight poly buckets, which saved almost 62lbs.! That should be good for a little ET. I have installed my new harness and moved my out of date one to the passanger side, for anyone who might want to go for a quick little ride! Got the front end aligned finally, now all I need to do is get the bottles fill and hit the track. I'm hoping to get over to Frank's house and try some nitrous runs out on a back road just to shake things out a bit. I did drive it to work today though and all seems fine so far. I will be putting up some more pictures as soon as I finish off this new roll of film. Seems that rideing the 4 wheeler is getting risky. This past Sunday Wayne, Erik, and I had a guy looking for us on the RR Tracks we ride, so we turned around and headed back to another ridding spot just to piss of some guy and have him call the cops on us! We did'nt get caught but hell, Wayne tried to talk to the guy , but he just walked away. Where not hard to get along with , I mean if you don't want us there just tell us , no need to call the cops! Hell He don't even own the land where on how screwed up is that? This tuesday I'm off to the dentist to get all 4 wisdom teeth pulled ,that should be great fun!! I will have more news after I do a couple shake down runs this weekend, talk to ya all then.

Wow where should I start! Today was opening day at NYIRP and what a beautiful day, with temps in the mid 70's and loads of sunshine. I had a great day in all, no catastrophic failures to speak of which is always good! First run off the trailer with a 125 jet was a 11.46 @ 116. Not bad that's the quickest ever with that nitrous jet. Second round was the 175 jet still with 12 degrees of timing, and everything set just like when I ran the 11.34 last season. Problems where apparent from the start, it came out soft 2.0 60ft., and then started to make ground when I had another nitrous pop! This was a small one, and I just coasted it through. After retrieving my 2nd destoyed K&N Filter I went back to the pits and pulled all the plugs. Number 5 cylinder was way lean while all the others looked fine. I installed some new plugs, dropped the timing to 10 degrees, and upped the fuel pressure to 42lbs.. Third pass of the day with new tune up netted my quickest ever pass by a few hundreths with a 11.31 @ 115! I know theres a 20 in it, it's just finding the right balance of fuel and timing. I lost some MPH, but that was the timing issue. Nothing but good news with the tranny, never missed a beat, guess the new manual reverse valve body was the move to make. Tires cleared good and only had a slight rub on the drivers side while turning, no biggie there, I will just leave it alone. The best news of the day was with Frank Kramers green GT. This was Frank's first race since the 13.99 of last season. With the new 347, NOS plate system, ect, ect, he ripped a 12.20 on the motor alone first pass! After all check out good Frank went to the juice and a 150 shot. After letting go of the tranny brake he yanked the front end and marched to a 10.95 @ 120 mph! I know theres alot more there, and after he get's the rev limiter raised in the computer, he can toss in the 4.10 gears and let the motor run to 6,500 - 7,000 rpm and belt out some low 10's with ease. Glad to see all the $$$$$ and hard work paid off Frank, now you have a car that not only looks killer , but can back it up no problem! Hey Frank I'm only 4 tenths off ya, what you think the heads and intakes would do for my ride!!??

Ahh the NMRA race in Columbus! Here's a recount of what all happened. Friday afternoon, pulled into the hotel an got a flat from a 3" nail in the trailer tire, got that fixed for free which was great! Off to the track for tech and registration. At tech I was turned away for missing a 1/4" of weld on my rear bars where they tie in to the main hoop up on top where there is no way to get a welderin there. After some disscussion I was given a waiver for this event, Cool! But the tech guy brought it to my attention that I also need 1/8" plates on the bottom of the car under the main hoop and my door bars and they have to be bolted in 4 places to the plates welded to the floor inside the car! Great I said I drove 7 hours for something I had no idea about . Guess that $50 NHRA Rule book would have been worth the money. I was told if I can get the plates on the bottom I could race. So now the hunt was on at 5pm on friday in a town I have no idea where anything is located. Off to a small garage where the owner was nice enough to give me the name of a guy that would help me get the plates if I could'nt find anything. Nice I thought at least he's a last resort, and the hunt continued. Off to a Lowes Home Improvement store, where we found a piece of 1'X1'X1/4" plate of steel for $36!! You know how it is if you need it you will pay anything, so along with the steel I purchased a 1/2" drill for doing the holes through the floor, 2 real good titanium bits, and a 50ft. extension cord. On the way back to the hotel we found a muffler shop open and the gentleman was kind enough to cut the steel into 4 6"X6" pices for me, again for free, how cool! back at the hotel the work began pulling up the carpet and taking turns between my Father, Frank Kramer and myself on the drill. Finally after lot's of beer and sweat the plates where in and off to the Hooters party downtown. Hooters ws a freak show of cars, burnouts, and women, my advice is that if you go to the NMRA Columbus race next year get to Hooter friday night it's a sight like no other! Ok on to Saturday, off to the track and breeze right through tech, yahoo where off and running now, so I thought! After check the tune up and heating the nitrous bottles we got the call to the lanes. After a good burnout I staged the car and then went in deep to get a good light, at the flash of amber I gave it hell and the car stumbled then started to pull hard only to get a big boom and then another out off the intake. I ran it through real slow and headed back to the pit's. I have been having alot of trouble with the nitrous backfires lately. Not sure what to do or why this thing is popping with a super safe tune in it. After talking with some fellow racers we discover that I needed to reinstall a coolant temperature sensor on the car, but the most puzzling is how the car runs the same whether the mass air meter is plugged in or not. Any other mass air car will die when the plug is pulled, but not mine! HMMMMM? After talking with Pro-M I tried one of their meters, which made no differance. So now we have a computer bug to chase down. I never did run the car again that weekend for fear of really hurting something. So after all the persistance and determination we showed on friday to get the car past tech, we figured we where due some good luck, but it was not meant to be. That's two years in a row I have been bitten by the Columbus Curse! Stiil had a good time though, lot's of fellow MOM's Racers to root for and some great heads up action in all the classes. I need to get moving now cause the MOM's opener is in a few short weeks! I'll be posting soon to let you know what I find out. Here are some pics of the rollbar fix at the hotel. Man we gathered a crowd wondering what the hell we where doing LOL!
Dad maning the drill, and Frank taking a beer break!
Well let's see, some new things to report. I finally figured out that all my nitrous troubles where caused by a leaking fuel solenoid, so all the nitrous stuff is off the car for now while the solenoids are getting rebuilt by Compucar. After two rain outs the first M.O.M.'s race of 2001 has been run. Needless to say I lost the first race, but there are more to come. I was happy that the car ran a 13.11@104 on the motor! My Father has had the car out a few times and is having trouble with the street tires at the track. I bolted on my little 26X10 slicks and wheeled it to a 13.2@97 , the mhp is down a bit , but I thinks it's just because everything is all new and still kind of tight. Frank did'nt make the first race due to a destroyed tranny. I think that his ride is making some serious power. Not much else to report on, after I get done with the M.O.M.'s newsletter I will try and transfer it to this page so everyone can read about all the action. I seem to have lost my camera, so I'm not sure when I'll get some new pics up,sorry. My fateher has some film yet to be developed so I 'll see what I can get off there. Thanx for checking in. Oh some new 4-wheeler pics will be coming soon, we almost have a full roll of film with all kinds of stuff on it!

The second race of the MOM's 2001 season is now history. I ran the car on my everyday street tires just for kicks and to do some nasty burnouts. I have to say I was amazed to run a 13.29@102 on em'! They where hooking as good as the slicks so I kept them on and went on to win my elimination round. Frank showed up running 10.9's again so his tranny troubles seem to over with for now, look for him to have a set of 4.10 gears and some computer work done for the July 20th race. My Father was out and could not improve on his 13.81 best. He ran 14.2's all night with lot's of wheel spin. He has picked up some new BFG Drag Radials so the traction trouble should soon be a thing of the past. All my nitrous stuff will be back this week and will be in the car for the July 20th event I am hoping to hop right back into the low 11's, I really miss that kick in the pants! I'll be sure and update when it get's back on. I am currently swamped with projects here. I am still remodling the upstairs bathroom which is getting close, I just got the new throne hooked up! I am also working on the MOM's newsletters, and now I will be putting the juice back on the car, and still try and find time for work and riding the 4- wheeler! AHHHHHHH. More to come soon.
11-26-01
Sorry for the long delay in getting this site updated! It has been a busy summer! Between remodeling the house, MOM's Racing action, typing newsletters, and now racing snowmobiles! I will be workng hard to update as much as I can on here. I have several new pictures to get posted. There will be updates in this page, the photo gallery(new one #3 to come), and a whole new page on the sled, oh and finally some 4-wheeler pics! Keep checking back lot's of changes will be taking place!
1-8-02 Alot is going on! I just got my Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads, Track Heat Intake, Proform Roller Rockers, and necessary stuff like pushrods ect. My father got the whole same set up as well. I hope to be running mid to low 10's for 2002! Dad should be mid to low 12's on the BFG's. I have been taking photos so hang tight. I really need to get a digital camera. I will be attending the 2001 NYIRP Awards Banquet again this year. All the MOM's Racers were invited this year, so we must be gaining some respect. So far the car is down to the short block and I am just waiting for my Intake, ARP head bolts and a intake spacer. After that it will be going back together. I also switched to the Energy Suspension Motor and tranny mount, to try and get rid of the unpleasent vibrations on the street.
2-21-02 Well both the cars are up and running. Both are running rather ruough though. I put about 60 miles on the black car and the new found power is insane any where over 3,000rpm. Both cars are currently at Kennedy's Dyontune for some work. We are both getting custom chips burned, and I'm getting the rev limiter moved since the car want to rev past 6,000rpm no problem now! Cars will be home on the 23rd so I will post the new dyno sheets and news about what kind of differnce Bob made.
3-19-02 Well I have some good news to report. Jerry Edwards called and asked to go ride the sled again, of course I jumped at the chance. We loaded up and went to a place called Monteray Jacks in Coopers Plains NY( 2 hours and change away). All the guys on the Amsnow website were racing there and Jerry wanted to see how we faired against all the big talk racers on the web. We'll after blowing off months of dust from the sled we destroyed these guys! We took 1st place in both 700 & 800cc! We also entered 700 Improved stock and got a second place out of that! Can't wait for the next race Jerry! Ok on to the cars. Both are back from Kennedys with a new lease on life. They both run much better! Bob hooked me up with a 3 program chip(1 for street and 2 for nitrous). I picked up 70 RWHP and it is noticable! Dad is right there only 3 HP down from me, but his tourque convertor let him belt out 430+ FT LBS! With my new found power 10's are a definate so of course comes more safety equipment. I got a Romac SFI Balancer(very nice piece!), SFI approved tranny shield from CSI ,(also nice!) and a SFI flexplate shield from TCI(This thing is a piece of SHIT!) What a pain with this tranny stuff. The flexplate shield is useless as far as a tech inspection now seeing as I have to cut it 3 times with a torch! If you are going to be doing this let me tell you now spend the extra $$$ and get the SFI Bellhousing from PA or J&W! I ended up having to pull the motor to get this thing on! top 2 bellhousing bolts are impossible to get to with the tranny in the car. The thing hit the fire wall bad too. After I thought i had it close and tried to fit in my new PA dipstick, not happening, no room and this shield is 3" wide so u can't attach the dipstick to the bellhousing bolts like your suppose to. Anyways with the motor and tranny out of the car I cut a notch just big enough for the dipstick to come up through and be able to bolt to the tranny the right way. After trying to bolt it back on I noticed the L brackets on the shield don't sit flush to the bellhousing because the shield is hitting the back of the head on the driver side! So after shimming it with a couple of washers I got that bolted on and Dad and me tossed the motor tranny combo back into the car, only to be pissed off once again by this thing! After bolting on the headers we noticed the passenger side ran right to that shield, how am I gonna get the exhaust on this thing! I broke out the smoke wrench again and cut about 3" off the bottom to make room for the pipes to go on. Cool get under the car and now notice that on the driver side I can't put the pipe up to the header beacuase the O2 sensor is hitting this shield! Torch this side as well and finally It almost goes on, the pipes just hit the bracket that runs under the tranny pan for the transmission shield, after some persuation with a pipe I bent that out of the way just enough. Finally 5 days after work at night and a good full day on the weekend it's all back together and running! I really hope nothing happens with the tranny this year because I will now have to pull the motor to get it off! If something does happen believe me I will be calling J&W or PA for the whole SFI bellhousing and be done with that shield bullshit. I also tossed on a new IAC Valve and that seemed to help my idle even more, guess the old one was beyond the typical cleaning. Dad has'nt done much at all after the dyno time, he picked up Frank's Eibach drag launch springs and put them in, the fronts were never installed on Frank's car. These should hopefully help with the hook this year. Frank got a whole Areomotive fuel kit for the car, and is putting in his tubular k member and such now, I will be helping him out more this coming Saturday so I will be able to post more later We had our annual MOM's get together in Rochester this past Sat. night, what a blast. I drove up and took Brennan Ashworth, and Rob Chandler with me. We had 17 of us show up. We ran 110mph on the highway after dinner to get downtown for some entertainment, what a site 7-9 cars doing 110 on the 490! We are not the best people to all get together and drive somewhere LOL! We all had a good time at Jillians boozing and laughing it up, can't wait for the track to hurry up and open, we are all chomping at the bit! That's all for now, things should start to pick up soon, so I will have plenty to update.
6-25-00 Well alot's been going on here lately. Let's see. Opening day at NYIRP Dad pulled out a astonishing 12.10@110! That is a 1.1 second improvement from the heads, intake and Kennedy's tune! I myself was slowly creeping up on my 10second goal when it finally came together for a 10.92@120 pass! This was a good day for all! I went back the following day to try and improve, but things started to go wrong. I tried to run the street program in the computer and the car would not pull past 5,000rpm. No prob I thought I will just pull some more timing out, next round it wouldn't rev past 4,000! So I decide let's pull some plugs, ahhhh 4 plugs are gone! Toss in a new set and reset the computer and picked back back up to a 11.10@120, which was a good sign since I got the mph back. Once at home I noticed a knock coming from the motor. It didn't sound like a rod, just like a lose rocker or lifter going bad. After adjusting the lifters and getting no change in tone I decided to go hunting. Dad and Rob Chandler came over and we ran a compression check, and all was fine. That eased my mind because Rob thought perhaps I melted a piece of spark plug to the piston and it was hitting the valves. So off come the heads, and theres nothing wrong! We pulled valves to make sure nothing was stuck in a seat, all's fine hmmmmmmm. The #3 piston had a couple small nicks in it so I thought well let's bring that one up top for a better look, and just at the top of it's stroke it rocked to the side a bit, so we rolled it back and forth and sure enough it wasn't looking good. You could push it back and forth in the bore with little effort, making a clunking sound, theres the problem! Out comes the motor, and after pulling the piston the damage was evident, it had scored the cylinder wall and really chewed the piston skirt. After conformation from the machine shop it showed up as a bent connecting rod from sever detonation( caused by my wanting to try the street program)( hey lean is mean right LOL). So after a new piston and rod, along with all new bearings it was back together sounding healthy once again. First MOM's Race trouble struck again LOL. The car was running poorly, spitting and sputtering all the way down the 1320. Almost felt like the nitrous bottle was close to empty. Bob Kennedy came over to assist and figure out what was wrong. He thought it was blowing out the spark, and he really did not like the plugs I was using (Autolite 3923 race plugs). We took out timing and jacked up the fuel pressure to be sure we are safe, and all it would manage was a 11.22@113. I got whipped bad in the final against Rob Chandler in his wicked Kenne Bell powered stang. Got the car home and put the street tires back on and went cruising. After an hour or so it started running really hot, with wild swings on the gauge from 190 to 230!. I figured the radiator is old as is the 160 stat so I go get a new 3 row rad and a new 160 stat. All is great it runs cool so out I go and then yet again it starts getting hot. I figured maybe the rad cap is bad( only thing not new!) so I went for a spin up to Dad's house to rob the one off his stang for a night to see if that cures it. I was shocked to pop off the cap and find no water in the car! Pulled the dipstick and found all the water I was missing! So the next day the car got trailered back home and off came the heads. After some new gaskets we are back in business and I am happy to report it only got to 170 on a 90 degree day in traffic! Second MOM's race I picked up where I left off LOL! First the WOT switch went to hell, next run the bottle went dry, third run back to spitting and sputtring. Bob K. came back over and thopught it was still blowing out the spark even though I had installed a new Accel 300+ multi spark ignition. We tried upping the fuel and taking back the timing , but it didn't help. He was a little upset I was still running them plugs he hates so as a last ditch effort I bummed a set of plugs off Frank and guess what the car went 11.04@120 in 100% humidity! This was the deal the whole time a freaking set of $20 plugs LOL. Oh well all is good now and I plan on getting to the track on July 5th for a test session. 10.70's should be coming soon! Thanx for checking in and sorry for the delay in updating.
8-11 Well if you've been checking my page you would have seen I went a 10.86@122 a while ago, so that's nothing new, and the car hasn't broke anything so things are kind of slow here, which is GOOD! Dad and I just got back from a 900 mile round trip to Virginia to pick up my new 89 coupe. I aquired the car from Lee Moneypenny. Lee ahs a hot coupe of his own that runs 12.40's with a carb and stock heads. I will have a couple pics of his ride up, as well as his friend Larry's Yellow hatch. The car is being stored at Dad's for now till race season is over, then let the thrashing begin!
9-14-02 The 2002 season has come to an end. All has been well with both cars so not much of anything exciting has happened to report. The final race brought a new record for the black car! I have been doing daily driving duty in ti for about 3 weeks now since the wifes car got sold to make way for our new one which we have yet to recieve, delivery date is set for Sept.28th. Anyways back to the record pass. As usual the car ran it's best pass of the night right off the trailer. I had the bottle pressure jacked up to 1,250 psi which is not ideal,it even locked up the purge solenoid the pressure was so high. With no purge I just figured I would let it rip anyways and it will come on when it's ready to. Well it came on just a split second after I matted the gas and the car pulled like a freight train on the top end. I was amazed that after recieving the timeslip it was showing a 10.796 @ 122!!! That flat out wastes the old record of 10.86 @ 122. So it was a fitting farewell for the car, this thing has been literally BEAT IN TO THE GROUND since I took delivery of it in 1997 and it just keeps on going! BUILT FORD TOUGH TAKES ON A NEW MEANING WITH THESE LITTLE CARS! Dad was back out and I wanted this thing to hit a 11 second pass bad, but it was not meant to be I guess. The rearend needs some work as the posi is done dealing with the low 12 second whippings. It still pulls the tires about 3-5" even though it's doing the one wheel peal during the burnout. Look for 4.10 gears and a new posi with some axles this winter. Possibly something more under hood to get the 11 as well!!! For me who knows I have so many ideas for the new car whgo knows what I'll end up with when finished. Thanx for checking in and updates should be picking up pace in 3 weeks!!!
10-6-02 Well the new car is coming along rather quickly. The car is stripped right down to next to nothing in preperation for the rollbar install and paint. This weekend was spent swapping the complete brake system form the black car. New sub frame connectors are on and the tourque boxes are all welded up tight, and ready for some abuse. Started painting the engine compartment as well. The black car is looking rather rough now that all the bumper covers are off and all the lights and interior have been removed. The 8.8 rear from the black car is in the coupe now too. The car does sit funny though, seems to be riding high, but it must be because there is no weight in the car. We checked to make sure nothing was binding and all is good so we'll see what happens when the car starts getting some stuff put back on it. The car will be going out to visit Max Gross (NMRA Hot Street, and fellow MOM's racer) in a couple weeks for the rollbar install. Max has a bender to make the custom bend's I need to make this as comfortable as possible. Not long after the bar is done the car will make another trip, this time to Frank Kramer's for some body work, and a nice tough coat of paint for the rollbar. After that is done it will hit the spray booth, and come out looking like a car finally. I took several pics of the progress so far, so look for them to be posted in a week or so, I really need to get a digital camera!
12-27-02 Sorry for the long delay in updates. The wife and I have been busy remodeling another room in anticipation of her sister visiting from Florida for the Holidays. Things are still moving on the car although it has slowed some what. Max completed the rollbar install with the swingout bars and I am very pleased with the outcome. Pictures can be seen in the new coupe page of this site.Since that time (around Thanksgiving) the car has sat waiting to go for the body and paint work. Last weekend it was delivered and should be reday for paint in a few weeks or so. I got a digital camera now so iI will be able to get some good quality pics up as the action happens. Things will be picking up pace soon.
2-17-03 Lot's of new thing's happening now. I have been gathering parts for the reassembly of the new coupe project. The body work has taken longer than expected, but after work began it became obvious that the car had been in a hail storm at one point that really fugged up the roof. The major work is now done with the body and tonight we put the doors and fenders back on for fitment and final body work and paint. I should have it back in my own garage in a couple weeks. I have the tranny mounted up to the motor just waiting to go back in. I recieved my convertor from Precision Industries and am hoping for some quicker passes with this 9 1/2" custom convertor. I am using a new Mallory ignition that has a built in 2 stage rev limiter, start retard, timing retard, rpm window switch, and other cool and useful options built into it. I have switched to larger soleniods for the nitrous system, picked up a new shifter, and the list goes on LOL. The mad thrash will begin soon. I've been back out on the sled agin, trying some racing on ice. Jerry and myself did a 1000' radar run this past weekend. We faired well but need to do a gearing change for the next one, the poor sled was revved out with 200' of track left and still managed to run 97mph 3 runs in a row. Dad's car is getting a few small changes. The 3:73's are out in favor of some 4:10's, finally putting in a battery disconnect in the trunk, and will also be getting a 130 amp alternator upgrade. Were hoping for 11's on the motor this season. That's all for now folk's thanks for looking.
