Specialization: Environmental Geochemistry, Environmental Protection in mining districts and rational management of nature.
Research Interests: Environmental Geochemistry of technogenic dispersion aureoles caused by mining and industrial waste; The forms of heavy metals in contaminated soils and forms of their transformation during interaction with the environment; the transfer of metals from soils to biota; theories and techniques of remediation of metal-contaminated sites; Bio - and hydro-geochemical methods for estimation of natural ecosystems;Occurrence forms and bioavailablility of heavy metals in polluted soils; Interactions of soil microorganisms and heavy metals in contaminated soils in industrial areas, with bioremediation aspects;
