Topic: Presentation Day 2

 

Set Induction: Students will continue to share their writing

 

Terminal Objective: Students will be exposed to a variety of creative writing and share their opinions about the material with others.

 

Enabling Objectives: Students will share their writing.  Students will evaluate each other’s writing.

 

Activity: Students will share their writing.  As before, students should respond in their journals to two students.  This time however, I want you to write about one presentation that you know very little about.  What questions did the student’s presentation raise that were not answered?  Was this intentional or not?  Did their presentation help you to understand the material?  How did you respond emotionally to the presentation?  The second journal entry should respond to a student who in your view did not do very well on the presentation.  Try to identify their biggest strength, and their biggest weakness.  Try to give encouraging help and constructive criticism.

 

Students can share their journal entries for a few minutes at the end of class, if there is time.

 

Closure: Tomorrow bring in an article relating to the topic of current-events and war.
