Week 9
Make or Break
Week 9 knocked some teams down and out as a group of elite teams need only to wait for their clincher while some are going to need help to make the playoffs.  With one more non-divison game left, teams are looking forward to a boost before taking on the division rivals to end the season.
AFC
Secure Teams:
Toronto Argonauts (6-3, Leads AFC East)
The Argonauts still haven't been able to shake the Wolverines off of them, but still hold a comanding points lead.  With one tough matchup coming before heading back into divisional play, the Argonauts can ride easy into the playoffs again
Prediction: AFC East Champ

Detroit Wolverines (6-3, Leads AFC Wild Card)

The Wolves have been nipping at Toronto all year and is in good shape going into divisional play and could challenge for the title.  Unfortunately, they trail significantly in points which could decide this division.  The Wolves will still make the playoffs and has the potential to knock off any team any week
Prediction: AFC WC Winner

In Control of their own Destiny:

Somerville Spartans (5-4, Leads AFC West)
The Spartans blew an opportunity for separation from the rest of the division as everyon in the division lost this week.  The Spartans lead the division only by points, and the other two teams in the division only trail by 1 game.  They could be in trouble in divisional play with a 1-2 record agains them this year
Prediction: AFC West Champ

Bush City Baby Eaters (5-4, Second in AFC Wild Card)
The Baby Eaters are the surprise team here as they have been all year.  They looked like they'd fall apart at some point but thus far it hasn't happened.  In a division that's currently lacking a powerhouse, they could sneak into the playoffs, but their low point total won't help.
Prediction: Miss Playoffs

Pat's Dynasty (4-5, Third in AFC Wild Card)

The Dynasty isn't in line for the playoffs yet, but just needs to tie the Baby Eaters for a spot.  They're doing well in the point totals so having the same record as either the Baby Eaters or Pirates will get them in.  Not to mention they will play both teams in what should be the most critical games in the league this year
Prediction: Second in AFC WC

Needing a Little Help:

Pirates (4-5, 4th in AFC Wild Card)
The Pirates really blew a shot at an easy win an could be tied for the division lead.  Instead, they need things to happen in front of them in order to make the playoffs.  This team is good enough to have a strong finish and having the teams they need to beat on the schedule helps too. This tough matchup this week might doom them, but a loss with good scoring could be enough
Prediction: Miss Playoffs

Doomed:
El Paso Bandits (3-6, 5th in AFC WC)
Nothing can save them now after dropping 6 in a row.  But could end up with a decent draft pick

Columbus Liquid Courage (1-8, 6th in AFC WC)
They were done a while ago, and probably won't play a bigger spoiler role than beating the Pirates last week.
NFC
Secure Teams:

Anal at Bandcamp (7-2, First in NFC West)
They're going to the playoffs, the question is in what spot.  The Chowderheads have stuck around and it all might come down to their final week showdown.
Prediction: NFC West Champ

N.E. Chowderheads (7-2, First in NFC Wild Card)
The Chowderheads have done a great job this year sticking around and will finish with one of the best records in the league.  It's been a great breakout year for the Chowderheads who have had a difficult time winning in the past because of large contracts attached to worthless players.  They've been fun to watch and can beat any given team in the playoffs this year
Prediction: NFC Wild Card Winner

Flaming Stewies (6-3, First in NFC East)
The record doesn't seem too secure, but the point total is going to carry this team.  With the Roncos right there tied for the lead, week 11 could decide the winner of this division.  But as of now, they'll make the playoffs in some spot.
Prediction: NFC East Champ

In Control of their own Destiny:

Denver Roncos (6-3, Second in NFC Wild Card)
Easily in control, but the only team in any danger of losing their playoff spot.  This new manager who inherited a team that hadn't finished above last play in either year is now playoff-bound with a strong season.  Even a weak finish should net this team a playoff spot in a pretty much locked up NFC race
Prediction: Second in NFC Wild Card

Needing a Lot of Help:

Vilma=God (4-5, 3rd in NFC Wild Card)
Every year this team makes a run at the playoffs late only to fall apart again and it looks like that will happen again.  It's a surprise this team is this close to the playoffs, but any shot at it would mean one of the teams in front of him losing out while he wins out.  There's a shot, but it's very slim
Prediction: Miss Playoffs

Doomed:

Capt Acorn (3-6, 4th in AFC Wild Card)
The late fade from Acorn has sent this team to the cellar.  A Wild Card favorite early this year hasn't produced and the division leaders have been very strong.  This team does have some prospects, but missing their first round pick will hurt this team's chanced of being competetive again next year.

Kellen Kunt Krushers (3-6, 5th in AFC Wild Card)
The Kunt Krushers showed some life in the middle weeks, but have faded since.  Taking over an awful team mid way through the season doesn't help either

Hotsauce (2-7, 6th in AFC Wild Card)
This is a surprise, but with a lot of cap shedding away this off-season, this team will be competetive again
