Lucky Week 7
Wild Card standings are out.  Big wins and some tough losses.  A couple desperate efforts.  All together week 7 was a make or break week with only 6 weeks left in the season.  Time is running out for teams off to slow starts, but there are signs of life for most of them and a pair of teams are in total free fall after being at the top in the first few weeks.
The Big Games:
Somerville Spartans (5-2) 102.44 - Bush City Baby Eaters (4-3) 61.50
This was a widely expected outcome but also necessary for the Spartans to take control of the division.  The Baby Eaters are starting a free fall with the Argonauts, Roncos, Wolverines, Spartans (again) and Pirates left on the schedule who have a combined 22-13 record.  The Spartans, on the other hand, are charging towards the AFC West title with the Pirates back on the ropes and a large point advantage over the Pat's Dynasty.  With two of his next three opponents at 2-5 right now, look for this lead to widen.

Anal at Bandcamp (5-2) 132.27 - Denver Roncos (4-3) 74.84
Battle of the top teams in the NFC and first installment of this rivalry goes to Bandcamp.  AABC was not going to be upset this week by scoring 130+ in a bye week which can usually mean victory.  AABC is not out of the woods, though, as they are still tied with the Chowderheads for the division lead.  The Roncos have fallen into a tie in their division and had a 2 game win streak snapped.

Toronto Argonauts (5-2) 154.63 - El Paso Bandits (3-4) 102.09
A good showing from the Bandits foiled by the Argonauts who scored enough to have the single season record if it hadn't been broken twice already this year.  Instead they settle for the win and the overall points lead and keep pace with the Wolverines who also won.  The Bandits have lost 4 straight and would be in danger of falling into last in the division if Shane wasn't so bad already.

The Upsets:
Hotsauce (2-5) 62.55 - Pirates (3-4) 57.16
Hotsauce comes away with a win that both sides desperately needed and stay alive in the NFC Wild Card.  The Pirates fall back into last in the AFC West with the loss, but still have a good shot at beating teams out for the Wild Card thanks to their point total.  Both teams don't see much help coming with some tough games in the future, so they're both going to need to have strong finishes to make the playoffs.  With six weeks left, the two need to keep in mind that no team has made the playoffs with less than 6 wins.
