Week 5 Backtrack
Week 5 housed some more upsets, a broken record and further shuffled the playoff picture.  Nothing is certain anymore as no team has a comfortable lead in any race.  5 weeks are in the books, and only 8 more for a bid at the playoffs.
The Big Games:
Detroit Wolverines (3-2) 109.06 - Toronto Argonauts (3-2) 78.95
The game of the week had one of the upsets of the weekend with the Wolverines back tied for the division lead after trailing two teams by two games two weeks ago.  The Wolves were the only ones to break the century mark this week and would have handled any team this week comfortably.  The Argonauts lose this one to a bitter rival and fall to 2-3 in this matchup all time.  This division looked like a two team race but is now up for grabs and should have an exciting finish.

Somerville Spartans (4-1) 84.54 - Hotsauce (1-4) 78.07
The Spartans pushed ahead of most of the pack with their fourth win of the year.  This time Somerville adds to the woes of Hotsauce, who hasn't been able to find any wins despite standing 6th in the league in total points.  We saw this kind of thing happen last year with the Bandits and it might be too late for Hotsauce to get it back on track.  As for the Spartans, its just another week and another win and should be on their way to an easy AFC West title.

The Upsets:
Denver Roncos (3-2) 85.53 - Flaming Stewies (3-2) 79.67
The Roncos pulled out a Monday night victory despite Romo's 5 picks and pulls even in the NFC East race.  The win puts Denver in a great position to make the playoffs as either the division winner or the Wild Card winner if the points can keep rolling in.  While this team doesn't exactly have the pop for big weeks, it is consistently good.  As for the Stewies, the lose again on their worse week of the year, but can do themselves and the Roncos a favor by beating Capt. Acorn next week.

Pennington's Penny Packers (2-3) 45.50 - El Paso Bandits (3-2) 41.89
From 3-0 to 3-2 and losing in a very ugly way.  The Penny Packers, under the new leadership of Zubes, wins despite the second lowest point total of the week and even sets a record in the process.  The Penny Packers are now hold the record for the least points in a victory, which was held by the Wolverines, set in 2005.  The hopes of a Penny Packers playoff run is pretty poor, but winning with 45 points has got to be fun.

#8   #7   N.E. Chowderheads (3-2) - The playoffs aren't so crazy anymore for this team
#9   #3   El Paso Bandits (3-2) - Losing is bad, but when the other team scores 45? That's gotta hurt

#13 #14  Pennington's Penny Packers (2-3) - Yeah, they won, but it was historically bad
