Pre-Season Predictions
It's time for football!  Year three begins with some up and coming teams looking to challenge the proven winners.  With two years producing 2 different champs, the crown may be up for grabs as everyone is contender in week 1
AFC West
Somerville Spartans - Always the brides maid, never the bride.  Trevor has always finished just outside the playoffs in the first two years, but that is all about to change.  Stephen Jackson already on the roster with breakout candiate Brandon Jacobs and added Marshawn Lynch.  The WR's are deep and can cover any off weeks the QB corps may have.  This is the best shot this team has ever had and at worst will be a wild card winner.
Predictions: 10-3, AFC West Champion
Pirates - A few moves by the defending champ have weakend their shot at the title with question marks at QB.  The RB's are less than impressive along with the WR's, but last year this team was counted out early and took the league by storm.  This team won't be as strong as it was last year, but don't expect them to roll over and die.  Expect a slow start with a tough first month, but may emerge as a dark horse once everyone's counted them out.
Predictions: 7-6, Miss Playoffs
Patriot's Dynasty - This is the home of LT, but with zero depth behind him, this RB situation is a broken toenail away from disaster.  Brees heads the QB's well, but also has no backup.  The WR's have depth, but lack talent for the most part.  This rookie manager has a long way to go before contention, but has the centerpieces in place for a future powerhouse.  Count on a couple wins from LT alone.
Predictions: 5-8, Miss Playoffs
Bush City Baby Eaters - Rivers is a good leader for this new manager, but the rest of the team has too many problems.  There is depth at WR, but no talent and the RB's have no anchor.  Nate has the talent and commitment to turn this disaster team around.  In the coming years, money is going to start rolling in and the opporunity for change will come.  But in the imediate future, this team is going nowhere.
Predictions: 4-9, Miss Playoffs
AFC East
Toronto Argonauts - The Argos have depth all over the field which will traslate to success.  The two time AFC East champ is heading in the right direction and looking for another AFC title.  With Brady, LJ, Rudi, Boldin and TO, the Argos shouldn't have any trouble finding points weekly and could find themselve far and away in first quickly in the AFC East.  With no apparent challenger, the Argos can prepare for the playoffs.
Predictions: 10-3, AFC East Champ
El Paso Bandits - A horrendous start, good middle and average end was Mark's season last year as he expects to reach the playoffs for the second time in three years.  The RB's are prime breakout candidates with Lendale White, Brandon Jackson and Michael Turner.  Unless we see some horrible busts, there should be little doubt that Mark will find a wild card spot and see playoff action once again.
Predictions: 8-5, AFC Wild Card Winner
Wolverines - Manning, Benson, Gore, Chester Taylor AND Adrian Peterson (both of 'em).  This line up should be a strong favorite for a title, but the lack of depth and weak WR group will haunt this team.  Without enough to even start a full lineup, this team will be hurting every bye week but will dominate when the whole line up can start.  Come playoff time, this team could be scary, but just one injury will ruin the entire season.
Predictions: 8-5, AFC Wild Card Winner
Columbus Liquid Courage - All the booze in the world won't provide the beer goggles to make this team pretty.  Alexander is the only bright spot on this team, but if he doesn't recover from his cracked foot, this team may not win a game.  Joey Harrington is the only QB on an active roster and the WR's are average at best.  Shane has the talent to make something happen with this team, but definately not this year.
Predictions: 3-10, Miss Playoffs
NFC West
AABC - Hands down winner of the NFC West for the third year in a row.  I don't need to say more, but I will anyway.  Palmer is still the QB, Harrison still the #1 WR (with some backup) and Westbrook leading up the RB's.  The competition in the division won't make AABC sweat, and this might be the team that finally makes it out of the NFC Championship game into the Super Bowl.
Predictions: 9-4, NFC West Champion
Finsmagic - No, I'm not crazy.  Two good top RB's along with two good WR's make up for the fact that Grossman is the everyday starter at QB.  The main reason this team recovers from 2-11 which included a 10 game losing streak is the strength in the division.  This is no playoff team, but in the battle of bottom feeders, this team should come out on top.  But as the top threat to AABC's NFC West crown, this team has no shot.
Predictions: 5-7, Miss Playoffs
Vilma=God - Andrew always seems to make some kind of run at the end of the year, but this year there probably won't be much luck.  The QB situation looks good with Bulger and Pennington, but the good news ends there.  McGahee should be good, but is all alone until Kevin Jones recovers.  The WR's are carried by Hines Ward but lack depth overall.  The depth isn't great away from QB, and that will kill this team.
Predictions: 5-7, Miss Playoffs
N.E. Chowderheads - Unless the Chowderheads find some miracle sleepers this year, the dreaded cap situation will sink this team this year.  Simply the $24 owed to Dom Williams who appears to be done means 1/4 of the total cap is taken up.  The rest of the team isn't terrible with Reggie Bush along with some other decent fantasy players, but the team needs a few bucks freed up before being successful.
Predictions: 4-9, Miss Playoffs
NFC East
Flaming Stewies - Two time NFC Champ is looking for more after a disapointing Super Bowl. There haven't been many changes to this team, but with Travis Henry and Jerious Norwood emerging on the fantasy stage, the team will be even better.  The QB's took a hit when Carr lost his job and unless Alex Smith continues to develop, it could be an issue going forward.  Right now it looks like the Stewies and AABC will meet again in the NFC Championship game.
Predictions: 9-4, NFC East Champion
Capt. Acorn - McNabb alone carries fantasy teams, until he's hurt.  So this team will do well at first, and could make a serious title run if he stays healthy.  Other than McNabb, the Captain's got some emerging WR's with his two starting RB's.  Crayton, Jarrett, Wilford and Northcutt all have breakout potential this year and this team could win a lot of games if they do.  This team appears playoff bound for the third year in a row.
Predictions: 8-5, NFC Wild Card Winner
Hotsauce - As long as Matt Hasselbeck holds up, this team could do allright.  But another injury leaves this team without a starting QB.  The RB's are shaky and might not hold up, but the WR's are the interesting situation.  Jimmy's got a group of good recievers he'll be able to start with matchups and if he can do that successfully, he should surprise a few teams and make the playoffs once again, this time with a winning record.
Predictions: 7-6, NFC Wild Card Winner
Denver Roncos - The QB situation is great on this team.  Tony Romo and Jason Campbell will easily lead this team in scoring, but the other positions will keep it down.  Portis is the best RB on the team and his health is in doubt.  The WR's will be widely unsuccessful leaving this team in the cellar this season.  Taking over a team usually means marginal talent and this rookie manager has a lot of work before the next winning season.
Predictions: 3-10, Miss Playoffs
