NU win by 23 runs
NU picked up a comfortable victory in the first 20/20 game for many seasons. NU lost the toss but were happy to bat first in �Radiant� conditions. Vital proved to be about as useful as tits on a boy, having departed in the first over. It was left to the in-form Dale and the powerful hitting of Tom Browes to steady the ship. Between them they added around 70 off about 7 overs, with both retiring after reaching 30. Dale with 32 off 29 balls, and Browesy with 40 off 17 balls including 2 big sixes. The middle order continued to add runs, with Adam Dismore contributing 24 with several lovely shots to the boundary. Other runscorers included 15 from lardy after several slogs across the line, and Harold with some late boundaries. With a finish of 152/7 it looked a very good score.
The Hardingham innings never threatened the NU score, without ever being too far away. Wickets were shared between the bowlers, with Arnie being the only man to pick up two (2-18). Sunil and Gaur pitched in with some quick bowling, backed up by tight fielding against some aggressive batsman, in particular from Phil out on the mid-on boundary. Other wicket takers included Dale, Browesy and Van Zanten. Vital took a good catch in the deep off Arnie, and Adam took a sharp catch off HVZ.
Thanks to Easty for organising, and cheers to NU�s biggest crowd of the season (7) for their valued support, even if they didnt share the chips.
