* Local Red Deer cull imminent! . . . Please act now!
Place: Bacton Woods, North Walsham, Norfolk. Date: Monday & Tuesday 3 & 4 February 2003.
Cull to be carried out by: The Forestry Commission.
Bacton Woods cover an area of 280 acres, and there is a small herd of approximately 20 Red Deer within the vicinity and surrounding area of these woods. Clearly this small herd, would make no appreciable difference to this 280 acre wood, that dates back to the Saxon times !! However, there is farmland adjacent to this area, and we believe it has more to do with this, than for the reason the Forestry Commission are giving.
Please register your protest and outrage against this needless slaughter - by Friday, 31st January.>

If enough people swamp them with phone calls, faxes, and emails, they may just call it off. Please be polite, as rudeness can be counter-productive!
