* Good news at last!
Plans for the proposed Primate Research Centre at Girton, Cambridge have been turned down by South Cambs District Council. Local police expressed grave concerns over their ability to control the inevitable animal rights demonstrations which would regularly take place at the site as soon as work commenced on the project.
Three cheers for Animal Aid and local group, Cambridge Against Primate Experiments, for their determination and persistence over this all important issue!
