Description

LOCATION: Miller Wood is a 45-acre parcel located off Forest Street.

DIRECTIONS and PARKING: From Route 123 in Norwell Center turn onto River Street. Proceed .2 mile on River, then turn right onto Forest. Proceed .4 mile to Miller Wood on right. There is a small parking area for about 4 cars. A new sign was installed in 2001.

TRAIL DESCRIPTION: There are two main trails, one of which is a loop trail. There are several short spur trails. Main trail is well-traveled and well-marked. Trails traverse a pine forest and red maple swamps..

TRAIL LENGTH: Loop trail is about 0.5 mile; main trail is about 0.5 mile.

TRAVEL TIME: Approximately 1 hour for all trails

AMENITIES: Benches and a picnic table were built and placed along trail in 2001 as part of Tim Reardon=s (Troop 44) Eagle Scout project.
