Scenario Dreams Part 5: The Final Battle Though the wormhole between realities I went. I let my path be directed by the Ellimist. After a long while I landed in a small grove in some woods. This place apparently was where the Ellimist had taken my companions to wait for me. I looked around and saw all of them. Norvil was happily reading some books, Malee and Lonely were sparring with each other, and Kargupi was watching, obviously thinking about something. I walked up to them and they all came over happily. “Hi Jay, ready to go have a rematch with that Crayak.” Lonely shouted. “I think I’m ready to take that guy down.” Malee joined in. “He needs to be stopped. If he can create a copy of Infinity, then there is nothing stopping him from making an army of Smaugs or something.” Kargupi said. “I think there is something that we are all forgetting.” Norvil calmly informed us, “If we were all blasted away so easily the first time we went against him last time, what is keeping him from doing it this time. We need a plan.” I thought about this for a second and realized that Norvil was right. I seriously didn’t want to go round up all my friends again if I could help it. “What we need is something that could block that orb attack that Infinity used on us last time. Jay, you are the Guardian, do you know if there is anything that could help us against that power?” I knew that this seemed familiar. Where had I heard about something that could help us? I then remembered that The Ellimist had mentioned that there was an item that I needed to defeat the Master of chaos. “I think there is an item that could help us here. I just wish I knew what it was.” I said. The forest suddenly disappeared and was replaced by that beautiful, almost majestic scenery, where all around us were hundreds of thousands of stars and blue mist flowed. I looked around to see the Ellimist himself, in his usual, wise-old-elf-like form. “It
is good to see that you have finally realized your mistake. The Master of chaos
is more than a simple foe like Balthazar or even Chiazilla. He rarely fights
anyone, but rather he chooses to have his sage fight for him. He possesses a
shield that is almost unbreakable. In order to have a chance against him you
must visit the Temple of the RPs. There you will be granted the legendary staff
and become a true Guardian. Take the water shard with you, it is an important
part of the staff’s workings.” I wanted to ask him why he had not told me this in the first place, but before I had a chance to he opened a vortex to wherever the Temple was. I stepped in and was followed closely by my partners. After a long journey we emerged in a beautiful garden with many fountains and flowers around. The scenery and sereneness took my breath away. The sky was perfect, blue with a few clouds. Birds were singing everywhere. In the middle of the garden was a large path made out of pure marble. I wished that I could forget my journey and stay here for at least a few weeks. I looked at my partners and it seemed to have the same effect on them. I started to look up and I saw a huge temple in front of me. It was similar to the temple of time, but so much more captivating. The entire building was made of smooth marble, and it had many windows around it, each window holding an amazingly well done stained glass pane. I stepped onto the marble pathway and slowly walked toward it, my wings folded, and my mithril suit sparkling in the wholesome rays of light. My companions followed behind. We came upon a large mahogany door. I slowly opened it, not knowing what to expect. Inside was a single huge room with a pedestal of sorts near the back. I walked up to it and waited to see if something would happen. Lonely, Norvil, Malee and Kargupi stood beside me, forming a semi-circle around the pedestal. I waited for a few seconds and then started to feel a bit downhearted. Feeling like giving up on anything happening I started to leave. Before I could get five feet away I heard a voice behind me. It was unlike any that I had heard before. It was calm and soothing unlike the Crayak, but yet it was also much different from the Ellimist as well. I stopped and listened to what it had to say. “Welcome
young Guardian, I am the Temple of the Reality Planes. I can see that you have
had a long and difficult journey to this point. How long ago it must seem that
you were sitting on your roof and out of nowhere you were pulled into all of
this mess that is going on. Nevertheless, you have proven yourself very worthy.
Many obstacles have you faced, and many more have you yet to face. You have
prospered in the face of fear, yet you have kept a gentle spirit and held your
friends dear. In order to let you fulfill your duties I will grant you the
Guardian Staff.” I stood there amazed at what was just said to me, the temple itself could talk. A blue and green vortex appeared and out of it came a green staff. It floated over and I caught it in my hand. It seemed very plain, I was seriously expecting more. “In
order to activate it you will need to provide it with a source of power.” I couldn’t think what I could possible do to power it until I remembered about the water shard. I pulled it out of my pocket and placed it into the top of the staff. The staff started to change until it was one with the gem. Power started to flow from it, amazing power. I started to feel attached to it, like it was part of me. I tried to toss it to my other hand but the second it left my right hand it disappeared and a symbol of the staff became visible on my right hand. “The staff is a part of you now. When the time comes you will know how to use it. In order to make it come back you must simply touch its symbol on your hand.” I did as instructed and it re-appeared. I thanked the temple and we all started to walk off. Before we could get to the exit though I heard it talk to us again. “Before
you go I have a gift for your partners that may prove quite useful. Lonely,
Please step forward.” He did as instructed, intrigue in his eyes and waited. “Lonely,
heart of joy, in your youth you knew only sorrow. You were forbidden flight and
had no family. When you were adopted, you found your place in the world. Your
joy propels you past the clouds. When you were separated from the Guardian you
stayed true to the one who took care of you, refusing to let her be hurt. I
will grant you some special abilities, some of the earth and some of the air.
The abilities will come in handy sooner than you expect. Also, when the hour of
destiny comes, you will be shown a great power, one that will help you to defeat
your great enemy.” Lonely started to glow slightly and a green triforce with a blue center appeared on his right hand. He seemed amazed and stepped back, looking at the symbol and thinking about what was said to him. Norvil stepped forward “Norvil,
heart of compassion, in your journeys you have seen much. Through trial and
conflict you have held fast to your friends. You have always shown helpfulness
to others, even when it meant fighting. When you were separated from your
friends you did a noble deed, disabling the evils that you found there. To you
I will grant water abilities of healing and protection. In the hour of destiny
you will be able to go into what is known as crisis mode, just the same as
Lonely.” Norvil started to glow in the same manner, and a green book with a blue symbol on it appeared on the back of his hand. Norvil bowed slightly and stepped back to the line next to Lonely. Malee stepped up a bit excitedly. “Malee,
heart of conflict, you have a love of the lab, which will change your form from
day to day. This causes a constant battle between your heart and your physical
self. Despite all of this you still show loyalty to those you trust, and never
back down in the face of a challenge. In your journey after being attacked you
helped defeat a giant monster and made a good friend with the alternate self of
the Guardian. To you I will grant abilities of the light. The only problem is
that when I do this, you will also unintentionally create a few abilities of
the darkness. It is up to you to keep these in balance and not let the darkness
overcome you. When the hour of destiny comes you will be able to go into crisis
mode and be free of this conflict for as long as you are in that form.” Malee glowed for a second and a green and blue flame appeared on the back of his right hand. He seemed a bit disturbed at hearing these remarks, but nevertheless thanked the temple and stepped back. Kargupi, seeing what had happened to Malee, very hesitantly stepped up. “Kargupi, you are unlike any of the others. You have no relation to Lonely, Norvil, or Malee, but you helped them out whenever you could. I will grant you no special abilities, but you will have something even greater. When the hour of destiny comes you will be granted the ability to call on legendary shard of light. I can only hope that you will know how to use it.” Kargupi’s eyes widened greatly. He seemed amazed at the astounding thing that had just been said. He gathered up a bit of courage and asked, “How can I have the shard of light, I thought that they had all been destroyed.” “It is
true that all of the shards from your timeline were destroyed, however, when
the Crayak created an alternate Infinity he also created an alternate set of
shards. Infinity, not wanting anyone to have the capability to stand up to him
using the shards sent the water shard and the light shard to two different RPs.
Jay was given the water shard for attempting to help someone in Hyrule, and you
have already encountered the light shard, thought you don’t know it yet.” Kargupi was still amazed but thanked the temple and stepped back. “I wish
you all luck. Don’t forget to use the powers I gave you, you will need them
greatly in the next obstacle you will face. Farewell, and may we meet again.” We all said goodbye to the temple and walked into the euphoric garden. I was still captivated by the beauty of the place, but I knew that we had a mission to carry out. I hesitantly held out my hand and created a vortex to the chaotic place where the Crayak resided. We all landed in Sloth’s space station. I was halfway annoyed and halfway relieved that we did not go directly to the Crayak’s place. We all started to look around the station, weapons in hand and on guard for anyone who would try to attack us. After a long time of searching we came upon the door to Dr. Sloth’s lair, where I knew there was a portal to the enemy. We all slowly walk toward it and the air around us started to shimmer. I looked behind me and saw that we had just gone through a hidden purple haze. I heard a gasp of surprise coming from my partners and I looked to see that all of their weapons had disappeared. I was about to re-supply them when five holes opened up under each of us and we fell. I fell down a long shaft until I landed in a huge room that resembled an indoor field of grass. I was alone. I held my staff at ready and looked around. I heard a malevolent voice behind me say, “So Guardian, it seems that you weren’t wise enough to stay away from here after our last encounter. You actually think that you could defeat us this time, what is so different about now.” I turned around and saw behind me the Sage of chaos, InfinityHell. I started to get angry and my staff began to glow and violently emit energy, as if it was wanting to battle as much as I did. I looked at him and firmly asked, “What have you done with my friends?” “Ah yes, each one of them has been sent to a different part of the space station where they will face one of my hand picked troops. If they succeed in defeating them they will be allowed to proceed to the Master’s humble abode. If they loose to my troops… well, lets just say you will have one less back up going against my Master. As for you though, I chose to give you the special privilege of being destroyed by me, rather than one of my minions. Prepare to face your doom.” He said to me as he held his own red staff at ready. The shard of darkness at the top began to glow and he shot a huge ball of red and gray energy at me. I, at that moment, suddenly realized how to use my staff. Without a second to spare I waved it in front of me and a vortex appeared on either side of me. The energy ball went into one of the vortexes and came out the other, harmlessly hitting the wall. I then slashed my staff in his direction. Many small orbs of spinning green and blue energy went spiraling toward him. He dodged them left and right, but the last one hit him directly and exploded. When the dust cleared he stood there a bit winded and said, “It seems that I have underestimated you. I have not ever had one who could avoid my great orb of chaos attack, and it is even more impressive that you have actually caused damage to me. It is time that I show you one of the powers that I most fond of.” With that he started to glow and was shrouded in a cloud of gray and red haze. When the haze cleared there were dozens of him. I threw many vortex orbs at them but most of them missed. The ones that did hit caused no damage. They started to surround me and each of them shot a blast at me from their own staff. I tried to block them with my vortex shield but there were to many of them. I was hit badly and fell down. I started to think back to all of the things that had led up to this. I thought of my first time flying. I thought of the first time that I had met my companions and the first time that I went into my now familiar Guardian form. I thought back at how I had met myself for the first time and how I had had almost given up hope after being defeated by Balthazar. I remembered being surrounded by the hork-bajar and using the rod of supernova to defeat them. I thought of… WAIT. I wondered if I could pull off the same move with the Guardian’s Staff that I did with the rod of supernova. I slowly stood up with all of the Infinities looking at me with a look of victory on their faces. I held out my staff and spun around in a circle. My enemies seemed amused by this. I then trust the staff upwards and was surrounded by a huge column of green and blue energy. The energy spiraled upward and then arced and came down on an open part of the field. I then directed the energy toward all of the Infinities. Most of them just stood there and took no damage from it, but when it hit one of them all of the others disappeared. The one that it hit was obviously the real Sage of chaos. I turned to him; now feeling re-energized from the victory and saw him kneeling on the ground held up by his staff. He tried one more time to hit me with his orb attack, but I countered by thrusting my staff at him. A powerful beam of energy formed and hit him directly. As he was disappearing he said, “Don’t think that you have seen the last of me. As long as there is hatred, wrath, and greed I will still exist. Your destruction of me has only sealed your fate to be destroyed by the greater power of the Master. I pity your terrible situation.” He started to laugh maniacally as he vanished completely from sight. A purple vortex opened and I jumped in, only hoping that the others had been able to defeat their own enemies. * * * Lonely fell down the long shaft and eventually landed in a large room with concrete blocks all around. It looked like he was inside a castle. Lonely wondered to himself what was going on and why he was here alone. As he walked around he saw a familiar figure come down from the ceiling. The figure was that of one of his greatest of enemies, Ganondorf. Ganondorf laughed snidely and said, “Pathetic, last time I saw you, you tried to protect the princess despite your small size. You couldn’t even scratch me, and you don’t even have those weapons that you used last time. I am not even sure I want to waste my time destroying you. Too bad for you that those are my exact orders.” With that he held out his hand and shot a bold of dark energy right at Lonely, who was knocked back on impact. “How can I go up against this person? He is so much stronger than me and I am defenseless.” Lonely thought to himself while trying to dodge the attacks of Ganondorf. “I have got to try, Jay needs me and perhaps if I defeat Ganondorf then I can see him again.” Lonely started to glow a bit, and without thinking of it he said in a tone unlike his own voice “Cannon of Plenty” At that moment a small projectile weapon appeared in his hand. He was baffled at first but then realized that this was one of the abilities that temple had given him. He lined up the weapon and fired a bunch of apples at Ganondorf. “I thought you were pathetic at first but this is almost funny, you think you can defeat me with fruit?” Lonely then had an idea of how he might be able to use it. He aimed the weapon again, concentrated on it, and shot a barrage of pineapples at Ganondorf. Ganondorf was damaged but not too much. The attack had mostly annoyed him. Dark energy started to flow around him and he started to grow. After he was done he had transformed into Ganon. Ganon took his swords and started slashing at Lonely. He, now being a little more used to the abilities called out fiercely, “Wind Slam”. A mighty wind picked up and lifted Ganon into the air. Ganon struggled and tried to attack Lonely, but because he was transformed he had no ranged attacks. The wind that had him in the air slammed him down, slightly cracking the floor and greatly damaging him. Ganon looked up weakly and said in a slurred way, “You are stronger than I remember. You could join us and be a sorcerer just like me, yes if you joined us we could be unstoppable.” Lonely looked at him, not even slightly swayed and said, “I trust in my friends and I would never betray them, not even for power. It is time for me to do what I would have done if I could have when we first met, Tectonic Crash!” A split opened up in the floor swallowing up Ganon, and then closed in, destroying one of chaos’s minions. A purple vortex opened up and Lonely sensed that it was the way to meet his friends again. He gathered up some courage and jumped in. * * * Norvil fell down the long shaft in the same way as the others at the same time. When he landed he found himself in what looked like a small grove in some woods, just like the one that he had spent so much time in waiting for Jay to rescue all of his friends. Norvil looked around for a while and climbed one of the trees to get a better view. When he was at the top he was both surprised and intrigued that this entire grove was inside a large metal room. He looked down to see a strange, alien figure. He slid down the tree to see if it was friendly, a move which he quickly regretted. The figure saw him and dashed in his direction, almost cutting Norvil with his tail blade. Norvil narrowly dodged and fled to the side. <It is such a pity that I was assigned to destroy such a weak creature such as yourself. You were smart enough to destroy all the technology that my people had stolen, but as far as battle abilities, you have none. I suppose I should introduce myself, I am Visser three, one of Infinity’s elite troops. Now it is time for you to be destroyed.> The visser pulled out a small handheld weapon and fired it at Norvil, leaving a large burn mark on his left arm. Norvil retreated into the deep woods of the room and sat there hoping for a miracle. He suddenly felt a new power well up inside of him, and almost without realizing it he softly said, “Heal”. The burn on his arm disappeared and he felt amazingly good. Then he decided to see if he could do anything else so he said, “Rain”. To his slight surprise it started raining inside. <Blasted scientists forgot to waterproof this dracon beam. Looks like I’m going to have to slice that creature the old fashioned way.> Norvil heard from afar. Norvil gained a bit of confidence and climbed up into the trees. After silently crawling through the trees he jumped down loudly on the opposite side of the grove from Visser three. The visser immediately saw him and started to run toward him. “Water Shell” Norvil whispered. Water started to swirl around him and touch the ground about two yards from him, slowly creating a dome. The Visser didn’t know what was going on but continued to charge at him. Just as Visser three was about to reach Norvil the water shell flashed and the visser crashed into it causing great damage and caused him to become very dizzy. Norvil deactivated the water shell and reached for his striped hammer. He then realized that the hammer was gone, just like the other’s weapons. In a last resort he hopefully said “Water Hammers”. The rain around him stopped and many hammers of water started to form in the air in the same way as the water shell had formed. The hammers then flashed, becoming solid water energy, and launched themselves at the visser, who took incredible damage and fell. A purple vortex opened and Norvil jumped into it without hesitating. * * * Malee fell down the shaft a long ways, the way getting darker all the time. He landed in a corridor lit as dimly as possible, almost completely in shadows. Malee looked around, feeling the darkness pull on him, feeding the darkness that was already inside of him because of his conflicted heart. He came to a small room with a red eyrie sitting in a throne in the back of it. The eyrie looked at him with cold eyes and said in a dark, yet almost sweet way, “Welcome Malee, to my wonderful home. I am Nazgul the Great, also known as The Bringer of Doom. I am the main cleric to the exalted Sage of chaos, InfinityHell. You are different from the others. All of your partners are currently being destroyed by the sage’s elite troops. You on the other hand have been granted the opportunity to join our great cause of complete domination. The ones you called friends have never been your friends at all Malee. Do you remember how you boldly tried to stand up against the imperial Crayak, and the others did nothing to help you. Do you remember how you were trapped in a dark cave for days on end without anything to eat but the fungus in the cave, and when your so called friend Jay came and didn’t even so much as give you a bit of food when he saw you. You even stood up for him and he did not come down and protect you. Yes, you are alone in this world. The pain can all be over, you will not have to struggle between light and dark forces within yourself. All you have to do is let the darkness take over, then you can become great.” Malee was angry, angrier than he had ever been in his life. How could this insolent eyrie tell him that his friends would betray him if they were given a chance? He felt a force well up within himself and he shouted out, “Darth Grip”. Immediately an invisible force started choking Nazgul and swinging him around the room, causing him to hit the walls, the floors, the ceiling, pretty much anything that could cause him damage. “Yes Malee, that is how you do it. Feel the hatred burning within yourself use the dark forces to destroy me, then will you know the true power of evil.” Nazgul said with a sneer. Malee immediately dropped the attack and got a hold on himself. He wondered how he had almost been tricked into becoming such a fiend as this figure that stood on the ground before him. “Very disappointing that you chose not to join us. It is a pity to lose such a potentially powerful warrior. I am afraid that I must destroy you if you will not follow in the dark ways.” Nazgul said. Immediately he started to gather dark energy and shot a large beam of darkness at Malee. Malee felt a new power rise up within himself, one so much different than the one he felt earlier. This was one of goodness and hope. Just before the blast of darkness hit him he started to glow slightly and said, “Shield of Hope”. Just as soon as the words came from his mouth a bright barrier surrounded him and the darkness hit the light and lost all power. As the shield was around Malee he began to gain new hope, new trust in all he knew was right, and he knew that he could control the darkness within himself and let the light thrive. Nazgul was blinded by the light, and was greatly surprised by the might that Malee was showing without the power of darkness. Malee now full of hope knew that he could defeat Nazgul so he said one last thing, “Star Storm”. Shadows drained away from the chamber and many points of light came down from above, greatly hurting Nazgul, but leaving no mark on Malee. Nazgul staggered and fell. With a much effort he said, “Very well Malee, you win this time, but this is most defiantly not the last that you are going to see of me. Now you will face the wrath of what the greatest of darkness can do. Until next time, Malee, if there will be a next time.” He sneered and disappeared into a shadowy vortex. A purple vortex opened up after it, and after getting a bit of a grip on himself, Malee jumped in. * * * Kargupi fell down the long shaft. As he was falling the air around him started to get hotter and hotter until it was like he was inside a volcano. When he landed and looked around he saw that the room he was in, indeed, looked like the inside of a volcano. He started to look for a place to escape, but as he got near the back of the room he came upon a huge, and slightly familiar figure. “So you are the one who was hiding in my cave for two weeks. I am Smaug, the most elite of the Master’s troops. I am second only to the sage of chaos. I have been told that you possess a great power that could potentially destroy the Master. I have been sent here to destroy you before you get the chance.” The dragon in front of him said. Kargupi was a bit confused about possessing a great power at first but then realized that Smaug was talking about the light shard that he didn’t know how to call yet. As he was thinking about this Smaug started to breathe fire at him. Kargupi jumped up and took to the air to avoid being burned. Smaug followed after him. They went a long time flying around. Kargupi had the definite advantage in flying because of his relatively small size and speed, but Smaug was constantly shooting at him with his deadly dragon fire. Kargupi was starting to tire a bit, and he was also quite scorched from many near misses. He tried one last effort to loose Smaug. Kargupi went to one side of the room he was in and lured Smaug over there. As soon as Smaug was in place Kargupi flew up and smashed a few of the stalactites off of the ceiling onto Smaug’s head. The impact was just enough to cause him to stumble in the air and fall. If it wasn’t for the lava pool below then Smaug would have probably gotten back up and chased after Kargupi again, but he had counted on the pool as part of his plan. As Smaug sank into the pool he said out to Kargupi, “You may think that you have won, but remember, the master can re-create me as many times as he wants, until there are hundreds of me. This is not the end, you have only begun to feel the rage of the darkness.” With that he sank and a purple vortex opened up in the side of the cave. Kargupi rested for a bit to let the burns heal and then jumped in. * * * I came out from the purple vortex that had appeared after I defeated InfinityHell and found myself in that odd place between realities that the Crayak resided in. I looked to my right and there appeared three other vortexes. Out of them came Lonely closest to me, then Norvil, and then Malee on the far right. I looked to my right and there out of another vortex came Kargupi, a little bit scorched but okay. I turned to face the Crayak in front of us. “Good job, Guardian. I am quite
surprised that all of you survived my minions. Unfortunately that means that
you shall meet your doom here.” He gave of a slight glow and hundreds of gray vortexes appeared in front of him. Out of them came many enemies. I saw black ninjas and demon knights. I saw dodongos and fire ghouls. I saw monsters of all shapes and sizes that I recognized from RPGs like Final Fantasy, Breath of Fire, and Golden Sun. There were goblins and wargs from middle earth, there were even paratroopas and GU gombas from the Mario games. I looked to my left and saw the symbols on the back of Lonely, Norvil, and Malee’s glow. In front of Lonely there appeared a green triforce with a blue vortex in the center, into which he jumped into and disappeared. In front of Norvil there appeared a green book. The book opened revealing a blue vortex, into which he jumped into and disappeared. In front of Malee appeared a flaming green and blue vortex that he jumped into and disappeared in. I looked to my right and saw Kargupi confusedly holding the same stone that he found in the hobbit RP. “It seems that your friends have
abandoned you, and what on earth do you think you can do to me with that
Arkenstone?” The creatures were slowly closing in on us and out of the corned of my
eyes I saw three figures coming out of nowhere. They were my Friends, but they
were somehow different. Was this crisis mode? Lonely had on golden desert armor
and in his hand he held a slightly scaled down glowing version of the Master
Sword that link used. Norvil looked pretty much the same, but there was a
strange almost undetectable flow of energy coming from him. I looked over at Malee,
who was standing there, his golden color shining brightly. On his back he had a
Lab Ray. He seemed fearless now that his internal conflict was remedied. I
heard a gasp from my right and I turned to see the outer layer of Kargupi’s
Arkenstone just disappear. After the outside was off I could see that all along
the light shard had been hidden within it. I didn’t have much time to celebrate; the troops of Crayak were closing
in quickly. Lonely looked up and said, “Wow, this is a cool sword! I’ll take care of
these little cronies while you take out the Crayak. Scarab Swarm!” Dozens of
scarabs started flying around Lonely and he dashed up against the oncoming army
slashing with his sword and commanding the scarabs to attack. I figured that I could probably defeat Crayak now that I had the staff.
Kargupi stepped up with his light shard in hand and we both fired massively
destructive bolts of energy at the impending malevolence sitting before us. Our
blasts went through the air but hit a gray shield surrounding the Crayak. “It seems that you forgot that I have an impenetrable shield. Your
little friend there is impressive, going against hundreds of my special troops,
but even he cannot stand up against my forces.” I looked and saw that Lonely was starting to lose; he was completely
outnumbered and had no one to watch his back. Malee turned to look at me and said, “Don’t worry, I have a little trick
here with this ray that may help Lonely out.” He held his ray pointed into the
air and shouted out, “Flaming
Call!!!” Then the laser shot off
and created a flaming vortex in the air above the advancing army. A small figure came out of it and took out a small staff. He aimed the
staff and blasted the enemy down with a enormous blast of fire. He then rode
down on his blue board and said, “Hi there Jay, Malee called me over and the
Ellimist filled me in on what is going on. I’ll help Lonely with the militia,
you just concentrate on the Crayak.” I was a bit amazed that Malee had been able to call Flame all the way
from his own reality plane. I looked over at Norvil who had been examining the
Crayak the entire time and heard him say, “ I think I figured it out!” He
walked over to Malee and pressed a few buttons on his laser. Malee and Norvil
then started to glow brightly and said in unison, “Shield Blaster” A bright
beam of energy was fired from the ray and hit the shield, which sizzled a bit
and then disappeared. I suddenly felt a wave of projected hatred coming from the Crayak. It was
debilitating. I could hardly think because of this force he was shooting at me.
I saw Kargupi and the others feeling the same thing. The light shard began to
react and it shot a blinding ray of light straight at the Crayak. The
debilitating force that was pounding on me stopped and I saw that the Master of
chaos was trapped in a pressing cage of light, affecting him in about the same
way as his force had affected us. I felt energy flow through the staff and I
almost without thinking about it shouted out in the same way as I had called
the Armor of the jeweled scarab and the others had performed their special
abilities, “Sword of the RPs!!!” The Staff began to glow and re-shape. It
twisted and molded until it was a large sword with a glowing blue blade and a
green hilt. Embedded in the hilt was the water shard. I knew what I had to do.
I spread my wings and flew up to the place where the Crayak was seated
helplessly. I took the sword in my hand and with a force of energy I stabbed it
into the heart of the Crayak. I herd a great wail of Pain and hatred and violence and defeat all rolled
into one. The troops that the Crayak had summoned withered and fell to the
ground. The dark sky above us split, opening up to void. The Crayak had been
defeated. I quickly flew down and opened up a vortex for my friends to jump
into to escape this collapsing palace between RPs. Lonely, Norvil, Malee, and
Kargupi jumped in. Flame flew down and I created a separate vortex to his own
home for him to go into. I thanked him and he jumped in. I saw that the void
had almost reached me so I jumped into the vortex that my partners had jumped
into and it closed behind me. I emerged at the temple of the RPs where the Ellimist was waiting for us.
I was a bit surprised to see him there in the midst of the beautiful garden. I
looked at my partners to see that they had returned to normal and Kargupi no
longer had the light shard. The Master of the RPs looked up at all of us. He smiled and said, “Well
done Guardian, and also well done to all of you. I never doubted that you would
be able to fulfill this quest. I will allow you to ask me a few questions now.” I stepped up with the first question, “Why did you not tell me off the
staff in the first place, causing me to have to go around and rescue all of my
friends from the RPs where they had been blasted off to?” “To answer that you have got to look back at all
you gained from your journeys. If I had given you all of your powers and let
you defeat the Master of chaos to start with would you have made such good
friends with your partners? Would you have met Flame? You see, my entire plan
was to make sure that you were worthy of being the Guardian. If you had
rejected you friends or only looked out for yourself then I would have had to
find another Guardian to do the job. You passed every test you were given.” Lonely stepped up for the next question, “Will we be
able to keep these cool abilities and the crisis mode?” “You, Norvil, and Malee will be able to retain all
that you gained from this journey. Unfortunately I can’t say the same for Kargupi
and the Guardian. They hold the ability to call upon their own shard of power.
That power is too much for any one person to keep constantly. It would be too
easy for them to get corrupted and become as bad as the Sage of chaos. I am
afraid when this is over I will have to return them to their original time, lay
their powers dormant, and erase their memory unless one of you call on one of
them in the case of an emergency. Even then the same thing will happen
afterwards to prevent corruption.” Malee stepped up and asked, “Will I ever get to see
Flame again?” The Ellimist chuckled a bit and said, “Of course you will, Malee. You will be able to call on him any time you wish, granted that you are in crisis mode.” I had one more question that I wanted to be answered so
I stepped up again and asked, “What happened to the me that I met in the
altered Animorphs RP?” “That Jay never left his shoyru form but because of the help that Norvil gave, he went on to defeat the yerk forces, became a hero, and is leading a comfortable life on the Andalite home world.” No one seemed to have any more questions so the
Ellimist said, “Very well, I bid you farewell until the next time there
is need of the Guardian to rise and defeat a great enemy.” I
started to feel my wings disappear and my suit to gradually turn into normal
clothes. Just before I blacked out I saw my companions being sent back to their
own RP. I woke up on the roof, cold and wet. I got up a bit and
saw that I was covered in a thin sheet of snow. I felt a feeling of peace and
serenity, like I had had a blissful dream. I wondered why I had been sleeping
on the roof of my house but then remembered that I had been stargazing. Strange
that it would snow after a clear night. Must have been a fast moving front. I
slid down the roof and stepped into the window. I looked at my alarm and saw
that it was five-o-clock in the morning, about the time I usually get up. I
turned on the news and saw that today was a snow day. I was really happy, that
meant that I had plenty of time to be on the computer and plenty of time to sit
and muse what it would be like if my scenarios were true. The End? |
