Scenario Dreams Part 3: The Quest

I emerged from my vortex and found myself in a strange place. There were lush green woods all around me. I softly called my Tazzalor’s cutlass just in case someone tried to attack me. From far off I heard the sounds of battle so I went to investigate. What I saw I could not believe. There in a small grove was a shadowed shoyru holding a wand of the air faerie, or WAF for short, and shooting grand lightning beams at a golden chomby who wielded two toxic sludges. On the chomby’s side was a desert shoyru cheering him on and a desert aisha just sitting there reading a book. The chomby took a hard hit from the WAF but he countered with dual toxic sludges. The shoyru was hurt and used a blue scorchstone. The chomby took the moment and hit the shoyru again multiple times with the toxic sludge. The shoyru swung the WAF and blades emerged from the side hitting the chomby and nearly defeating him. The chomby pulled out a rainbow scorchstone, healed, and used his free hand to shoot a grand lightning beam at the shoyru. The shoyru was almost out and hit the chomby with all he had. The chomby took the hits and countered with a final hit from the toxic sludges. The shoyru was felled and the chomby won the fight.

“Good match Kargupi.” The chomby said as he tossed the shoyru a healing potion.

“Thanks, but you won’t have so much luck at the no weapons tournament, Malee.” The shoyru said as he chugged the healing potion and finished healing with the scorchstone.

I knew where I had come to. This was Neopia. I jumped out from behind the trees and surprised them greatly. Malee armed the toxic sludges and Kargupi held the WAF at ready position. The desert shoyru who I had a feeling was named Lonely_Shoyru2000, or Lonely for short, Jumped from the sidelines and aimed two grand lightning beams at me. The desert aisha whose name was Norvilion, or Norvil for short, just looked at me and went back to reading.

“Who are you and why have you come to my grove?” Kargupi demanded.

I just kept on looking at them, still not believing that they were real.

“You better answer us or my big brother here is going to get you.” Lonely said.

“You, you are neopets, and you there are Malee716_2000 aren’t you. Also you there are Lonely, and Kargupi.

They just stared at me, put down their weapons and said, “Who are you?” in a light tone.

“I am Jay, and Malee, Lonely, and Norvil over there are my neopets.”

Now they really were surprised. Kargupi came up and said, “What is your real name shoyru, we all know that owners aren’t real, they are just pretend.”

I had to do something quick or I would be toast. I said to them, “I have a way that I can prove it to you, but you have to promise that you wont hurt me.”

They seemed to agree so I started concentrating on my human form. After about five seconds I stood almost six feet tall, was wearing jeans, a t-shirt and a blue and yellow jacket, and I was looking down at three neopets who fainted on the spot.

Norvil came over; seemingly not surprised at he fact that there was a human standing there, and started asking me questions about where I came from. I was quite amazed at the calmness shown by Norvil. I answered many questions and told all about how where I came from, Neopets were pretend.

The others woke up finally after about ten minutes but still looked pretty amazed. I decided that it would be easier on them for me to be on the same level as them so I turned back into a silver shoyru. I still had out my cutlass, which Lonely was looking at with amazement. Kargupi was the first to speak, “So you are an owner, I guess that is fine, but my question is, why are you here?’

Of course I had not yet explained my situation to them. I sat down and told them the entire story, from the point where I was sitting on my roof that night so long ago to the point where I was named the Guardian of the RPs.

“So you are saying that this place is a reality plane and there is another reality plane where owners exist?” Malee asked.

“Yes, that is exactly what I am saying. There are really more than that.” I replied.

Suddenly Lonely piped out, “Where did you get that cool weapon though, it should have cost you millions to buy.”

“Oh yes, I guess I forgot to mention, I can create any item out of thin air, I personally prefer neopets items though.”

They stared at me, and then said, “Well this journey sounds important, we wish we could do something to help.”

I thought back to what the Ellimist had said about partners so I said to them, “Perhaps you can come along, you may need some better weapons though, but you may be able to help me in case I run into Balthazar again or something.

They graciously accepted. To Kargupi I gave a rod of dark nova to match his color scheme, and a rod of nova to counter the dark energy from the other rod. To Lonely I gave various battle scarabs, I do say that he could carry more of them than I ever thought was possible. When I asked Norvil what he wanted he just shook his head and said that he wanted to just give strategies from the side. I understood that well enough. To Malee I gave a couple of toxic sludge blasters seeing as that toxic sludge was one of his favorite weapons.

“Wow, this is great! These things are amazing.” Kargupi exclaimed, swinging around the rod of dark nova.

“Hey, These are cool weapons and all, but were do you think we are supposed to go?” Lonely asked.

That was a very good question. I was in Neopia, but I couldn’t think of any place to. “I have absolutely no idea, where do you think we should start?”

“Perhaps we should ask the Island Mystic.” piped up Malee.

I couldn’t think of any better place to start, so we headed off to Mystery Island. Traveling in Neopia was a lot harder than I had expected. Lonely, Kargupi, and I could fly and all, but that still left Malee and Norvil down below. After a few hours we finally got to Mystery Island. We had to carry the other two across the ocean quite a far piece before we got there.

We walked around the Island a bit and the beauty of the landscape amazed me. The others just lead the way to the location of the island mystic. Before we went in I had a feeling that something was wrong. I told the others to stay back while I checked the place out. I called up a camouflage potion and chugged it down, luckily it still worked for its extended thirty minutes for me here in Neopia. I walked in silently and headed the mystic speak to a small creature hidden in the shadows.

“No, honestly I can’t tell you anything about any kind of Guardian. I get all my wisdom from old newspapers, tabloids, and fortune cookies. I possess no actual paranormal powers of seeing the unseen. Please leave and let me be. Please don’t hurt me.” I heard the Island Mystic cower out.

I heard a dreadfully scary voice from within the shadows say, “We shall see. If you are lying though I will find out, and if I find out you are lying, well, lets just say that they will need to get a new mystic for the island. Goodbye… for now.”

A red vortex appeared out of nowhere and something that somewhat looked like a fire shoyru holding a staff jumped in and it was gone. This was bad, seriously bad. Apparently there was somewhere here out to kill me other than the usual evils like Balthazar.

I went back to get the others and emerged from my invisibility. That took them by surprise. I guess I should have done the latter first. In any case, after I told them what had happened, Kargupi got a strange look on his face. I asked him what was wrong, but he said that it was nothing.  We went down to see if the Island Mystic knew anything about the thing that had just confronted him. We walked into the little hut and asked him about the stranger.

He got a really disturbed look on his face and said to us, “You will be chased by wild krawks all day.”

“Who was that who just came in?” I asked again.

“You will have drunkards throw knives at you.” He said, seeming to not want to answer our question.

            “WHO WAS THAT?!?” I demanded.

“You will be knocked unconscious by a flying deckball.” He riddled back at us.

I just gave up and we all walked out. Then Norvil calmly stated that we should head to Krawk Island.

“Why go to that place, Norvil?” I asked.

Norvil replied, “Didn’t you notice that all of the mystic’s babbling had to do with something on that island?”

I really hadn’t noticed this so we all headed to Krawk Island, the lowlife lands of Neopia. I sensed something was going on at the academy so we headed in that direction. When we got there I saw mass chaos. Walls torn down, floors ripped out, even the drunkards’ room had been decimated. There sat Tazzalor the grundo and Captain Threelegs the eyrie. Tazzalor seemed outraged and Threelegs seemed downright depressed, for good reason, someone had taken his wooden leg and destroyed it, leaving a bunch of splinters on the ground.

“There will be no training today, someone seems to have destroyed our building, but even more tragic is that they broke my precious leg.” Threelegs said to us.

“I could ‘a taken him, but he had this strange weapon with him that was even more destructive than my cutlass. It’s a good thing he didn’t get my homemade cutlass.

“Threelegs, do you know who did this?” I inquired them.

“Aye, It was a fire shoyru, didn’t get his name, but there was somthin’ awful wrong about him. Almost evil.” Captain Threelegs informed us.

“Can you tell me anything else about him, where he is from, if he serves a higher master, anything.”

“I probably could, but I can’t get any research done without a wooden leg.”

I walked off a far piece out of sight and softly called out, “Fierce Wooden Leg”. There appeared in my hand a wooden leg, quite a mediocre weapon, but I needed it as a ways to get the information that I needed. I came back and gave the leg to Threelegs who immediately put it on with joy.

“I thank you for your kindness, but I am afraid that I lied about being able to find out about that person, I just wanted a new leg.” He said to me.

I responded by pulling out my Tazzalor’s Cutlass and aiming it right at his new leg.

Tazzalor looked at it with wonder and said, “Hey Captain, I would do something to help this guy, that thing can do a lot of damage, I should know, I designed it.

Threelegs looked at the blade warily, then he shakily said, “Easy there, its not like I was just going to take it and leave you with nothing. I don’t know myself, but I can tell you who would know. Yes, ask the faerie queen, she should be in the hidden tower. Just please don’t hurt me like that other guy would have done if I hadn’t given him all my dubloons.”

I was a little bit irked, but I withdrew my sword and we all headed off for Faerieland.

“Hey, Threelegs said we are supposed to find the faerie queen at the hidden tower, but where in Faerieland is that?” Lonely asked as we were searching the area.

“Just follow me, I know the exact location, long story, but I believe it is this way.” Kargupi said, turning toward the palace.

We followed Kargupi closely, I knew that this seemed familiar, like something I had read before, but I couldn’t quite place it. Suddenly Kargupi disappeared. We were stunned but we followed exactly the way he had gone. We found ourselves in a large tower, hidden from anyone on the outside. I walked along looking at the awesome weapons, thinking of how I could use any one of them at any time I wanted. I decided to take a close look at one of the zaptwigs when I heard a voice come from behind me. It was the Faerie Queen.

“I have a feeling that you have come for more than just to purchase an item, come with me to the main room and we will talk there.” She said to us.

We all walked a ways until we came to a huge room It had a ceiling almost thirty feet high and it took up the entire circumference of the tower. There was a staircase to connect the upper floors and the lower floors but this place was separate. All around there were decorations. There was amazingly expensive furniture, and even a small rainbow fountain in the center. We were invited to sit down and talk.

“First of all your name is Jay, right?” She asked me.

            I nodded my head.

“Okay, Jay, I know you are hiding something. I will not tell you anything until you show me your true form.”

True form, what did she mean? Perhaps she wanted me to become human. That had to be it. I stood up and concentrated. My wings disappeared, my feet became shoes, and clothes and a jacket appeared on my body. My hands took a fully human shape and my skin turned from silver to the normal. My eyesight dimmed as my eyes became much smaller. I had become completely human. The others looked a bid startled, still not used to an owner being around, but sat there still. The Faerie Queen just scowled at me.

“Very interesting, the ability to take the form of an owner, or as you call yourself, a human. That would be fine, except that you didn’t do as I asked. You are still disguised. Show your true form NOW, before I run out of patience.” She demanded of me.

I was a bit perplexed. This was my true form, I had always been human except for the past year or so of adventuring. Then I thought of something, I had been appointed to be the Guardian of the RPs. Perhaps she was expecting my Guardian form. I concentrated for a moment and silver shoyru wings sprouted from my back. Then something strange happened, my jacked disappeared and was replaced by a dark blue silken mithril tunic. Also my jeans slowly became blue mithril as well, then on the mithril suit appeared many small greenish stars. My good shoes became tough Kokirish style boots. I was told later that my eyes changed to a brilliant shade of green. I could see amazingly well, even better than I could as a shoyru. My ears changed shape and became pointed, like those of an elf. Around my waist a silver sash was bound. I had finished taking the form of a true Guardian.

I looked around to find my pets and Kargupi backed up in the corner. Even the Faerie Queen herself was amazed. I called them back over and, a bit nervously they came.

“Quite good, I am impressed that you have such ability to mask your own appearance to look like an ordinary silver shoyru or like an owner. Now what is it that you wanted to know?”

“There is an evil that I have been sent here to destroy. One that has abilities extending into the sixth dimension, the dimension of reality planes where dreams and stories are reality.” I explained.

“Hmm… I am truly sorry; I know nothing of anything of this sort. The only suggestion is that you go to the lost desert and ask Coltzan. Perhaps because he is not of this world anymore he would be able to see such a disturbance.” She answered, regretfully.

I was still a bit irked, but at least we had an idea of where to go. We all said goodbye to the faerie queen and I became a sliver shoyru again and called out my Tazzalor’s cutlass. I then thought of something, to get to the lost desert we would have to go through the Haunted Woods. This was seriously bad, but I had a quest to complete.

We got to the Haunted Woods and landed. Kargupi pulled out his rods and held them at ready. Lonely released a few flying scarabs and held a few others to his side in case of an ambush. Norvil kept a good watch on the place by using his Aisha sonar. Malee held his toxic sludge blasters ready to fire at the first sign of trouble. I gripped my cutlass tight and we all trudged along the woods.

It wasn’t long before Norvil detected an enemy nearby. Lonely and Malee got into ready position in the general direction it was coming from. Kargupi stayed back in case another one came. Out popped a blue creature about three feet tall with a maniacal grin on his face. It was the paint devil. Malee fired with both blasters and Lonely sent a boulder spinning at him with an earth scarab while the flying scarabs attacked. I heard a shriek come from it and it melted into the ground after getting hit by this massive attack. They had already defeated him even before he had a chance to fight or steal an item.

We continued on and Norvil picked up another enemy near by. I was a bit relaxed, it was probably the paint devil coming back for a rematch. I suddenly was hit hard in the back of the head. That was no paint devil it was Balthazar. The others backed off a little. I really couldn’t blame them. After all, who would want to fight a huge seven-foot tall monster lupe?

“I have come to finish you off, it seems that you thought that changing your color would disguise you, well guess what, it didn’t do a thing.” Balthazar growled at me.

With that he started attacking. I was having a hard time dodging blows and the others were still stunned by his sudden appearance. It didn’t make matters any better that it was so dark that I could hardly see him. That gave me an idea, I might have a better chance if I was almost as big as he was and I could see him. I called up a thyoras tear, and while I was protected I concentrated and took the form of a Guardian.

It worked well, with my improved eyesight I could easily detect him, and I felt a whole lot more confident being taller. He looked at me, a bit puzzled, and then snickered.

“You think that that will save you fool?” he said as he pulled out a golden butter knife.

I looked at it a bit amazed. I didn’t think that he had that in his inventory. In the second that I was stunned he took the butter knife and stabbed me right in the chest with it. Instinctively I went down. I suddenly heard a great call and saw tons of projectile toxic sludge, at least seven flying scarabs, blinding light, searing darkness energy, novas and dark novas fly at Balthazar simultaneously. There was no chance for him, and he went down and ran away immediately.

I saw all of my companions rush over to try to save me, but to their eternal surprise I got right up and brushed myself off. They looked at me, and just stood there for a full thirty seconds. I myself was a bit perplexed how I had been stabbed through the heart with a golden butter knife and still had no injuries from it. It took me a while to realize what had happened. You see, my clothes were made of silken mithril, and mithril is as light as a feather, but as strong as dragon scales. The mithril suit had saved me from that mortal blow. However, if it hadn’t been for my friends then Balthazar would have surely taken my head. They had saved my life.

We continued the rest of the trip with relatively no trouble, just a mutant chia here or a mummy there, nothing we couldn’t handle. As we emerged from the woods the terrain started to get sandy and the air around us got really hot. Lonely and Norvil seemed right at home, but Malee, Kargupi, and I were smoldering. We continued along, me constantly calling up water, juice, or some other liquid to drink until we finally reached Sakhmet City. I looked around and saw many desert pets, as well as travelers like us. I asked a desert lupe nearby where Coltzan’s shrine was, and he pointed me around near the northwest corner of the city.

We started walking that way when I found a dubloon in the sands. I picked it up. It was a thousand dubloon coin! I was amazed for a second but then I realized that I could have ten of these if I just said the word. Nevertheless I held onto it and we headed off. Near the edge of the city was a desert poogle that had some kind of wand in his hand that had a fiery star at the end. I knew that it looked familiar somehow. I asked him about it and he said that he found it just sitting in the sands of the desert. He looked down at my dubloon and his eyes doubled in size.

“Hey, Is that a THOUSAND dubloon coin?” he asked me.

“Yes, I believe it is.” I replied

“I’ll give you this wand you were asking about for it.” He offered.

I accepted, seeing as that I had no idea what the wand was, and I had no need for dubloons. We walked along until we got to the general area that the shrine was.

We all walked up to it and waited. A giant, ghost-like head of a gray lupe king appeared above the shrine. He looked at me then the others and started to talk.

“I can see that you have come for something other than the usual blessing that I give. I can also tell that one of you is in disguise, though I am not sure which one. Remove your disguise for there is no one abroad, and tell me what you wish.”

I took up my Guardian form, which was starting to seem more and more like my own body. I looked at my companions and saw no fear in their eyes, they, like me were getting used to this weirdness. I stepped up and bowed to the head, that was the spirit of the deceased Coltzan.

“I am Jay, appointed Guardian of the RPs. I have come on a quest to find a great evil within the land and destroy him. He exists beyond the normal flow of time and you are the only one who is deceased that could help us.”

“Of this evil, I know well. He has been limiting my powers and causing havoc in the essence of time itself. If I had my old gear I could temporarily take a physical form and transport you to the approximate location of the portal to his palace beyond time. Alas, my diadem, necklace and burning gem are locked away in an ancient labyrinth, and my scepter had been lost in the desert sands since the day I died. I wish I could help you.”

I was disappointed but then I thought about the wand that I had obtained. I pulled it out and showed it to Coltzan. He smiled and laughed with joy, but then soon calmed back down.

“Indeed that is my scepter. With that I would be able to make a portal to the location of the evil’s front door. Unfortunately I still need my own hands to do it.

Kargupi stepped up to us and said, “We can find you other gear if you just tell us where to look for them.”

Then Malee stepped beside him and said, “We would be more than willing to help you out.”

Lonely quickly hopped up beside Malee and stated, “I’ll go where ever Jay and Malee go, I will help as well.”

Norvil, who had been quiet this entire time, stepped up and informed us, “I believe that any labyrinth that we go into will have traps, we cant just run in head first. You will most likely need someone to deactivate these. I will go for the simple reason that if I don’t you will most likely fall into a pit or be run over by a boulder or something.”

Coltzan thanked us and told us the location of the labyrinth where his gear was. We headed out.

We finally got there near dark. The entrance to the labyrinth was a somewhat small structure with a flat roof. We decided to camp out for the night. I couldn’t think of any item that we could use as a tent, so we decided to sleep on the roof of the entrance. That night I had a dream. I dreamt that I was in a giant scary place. High above me rose a throne. On that throne was… something. Before I had a chance to go after it many gray vortexes appeared. I woke up just before seeing what was going to happen next. Very strange for me to have a recurring dream like that.

That morning we all had a breakfast of deliciously cooked cool neggs. Norvil had once read a book on ways to prepare neggs and was a very good chef. After we all ate our fill, we headed down into the labyrinth.

I will skip the details of all that happened, but we went through the maze with Norvil checking for traps and keeping track of our progress. We eventually made it to the treasure room. There in a corner, among many riches, was Coltzan’s gear. I headed over to get it when a red vortex appeared in the top of the room and a red eyrie carrying a rod and a wizard’s cape came down. All of us were stunned at this, but it was only Norvil who knew who this was.

            “It’s Jahbal!”

The figure turned to us and said, “It seems that my reputation proceeds me. Yes, I am Jahbal. A good friend of mine has sent me here to stop you from getting closer to his master’s lair.”

“His masters lair? I wonder what he means.” I thought, being interrupted by a blast of fire from him. We all took turns shooting at him with the best of our weapons, but nothing worked. I then had an idea.

I transformed into my guardian form and held out my hand, concentrating on the Neoquest hero. A green portal opened up in front of me and a white lupe jumped out. I didn’t have to explain much to him, he saw Jahbal and that is all he needed to know. We all backed up and watched the hero battle. After a long fight, Jahbal finally fell and was swept away by a gray vortex. I thanked the hero and sent him off to his own RP. The others just looked at me like they had seen a ghost. After a rest from the recent excitement I transformed back into a shoyru and we grabbed the gear and then headed off to deliver them to Coltzan.

Coltzan was overjoyed at out arrival. He directed us to a place behind his shrine and told us where to put the gear. Malee went first, putting the diadem in the sands. Then Kargupi came up, placing the large and thick necklace below the diadem. Lonely placed the burning gem on top of the necklace, and Norvil dug through the sands and found a switch to activate an energy field. The spirit of Coltzan floated toward the field and started to take physical shape. When it was all done there was Coltzan standing in the desert sands that was his home. I handed him his scepter and he turned toward us.

He then said to us in a tone of great gratitude, “You have found all of my gear and temporarily given me life again. I will fade back into the shrine in a few hours, but to feel the sands beneath my paws one more time is such a blessing. In return for you doing this for me I will create a portal to the approximate location of the front door of the enemy that you seek.”

With that he waved the scepter in the air and the sand beneath our feet started spinning until it became a full-fledged vortex. We fell in and landed on a cold metal floor. I looked around and saw many computers and controls. After we all got up Lonely realized that we were in the space station. We walked around for a while, keeping out of sight of the grundo warriors patrolling the halls, when we came to a big door. After a bit of work Norvil was able to crack the code that locked the door. Inside I saw what I halfway expected the entire time. There, hunched over a control panel, was Doctor Sloth.

He looked up from his work, turned toward us, then he snickered and said to us, “Congratulations, not many people have managed to get by my security to try to assassinate me” With that he got up from his chair and started to attack us.

“So it was Sloth all along that was causing all this trouble, that figures.” I thought to myself as we started to battle. It was a tough fight. Kargupi was attacking full force with both his rods, Lonely was throwing boulders and blasts of water at him from his earth and water scarabs, and Malee was shooting from all directions with his toxic sludge blasters. I had my trusty Tazzalor's cutlass in my hand and was slashing away at him. Norvil was off to the side somewhere, no doubt spying into the doc’s computer. Doctor Sloth was a very worthy opponent, even mightier than Balthazar was; luckily I had gained much confidence after traveling around with my friends. He shot at us with small lasers he had on hand that were quite destructive to anything they hit. Doctor Sloth was tiring, and so were we. I got hit with one of his laser blasts and fell down. He was about to finish me off when something knocked him unconscious from behind. I healed and looked at who did it. Perhaps Kargupi had hit him with the rods, or maybe it was a boulder from Lonely, perhaps Malee had thrown one of his blasters at sloth. I looked up to see Norvil holding a striped hammer. That was one of the only weapons that he possessed, and even then he never used it. I thanked him and Sloth woke up, and tried to attack us again, but all his strength was worn out. He looked up at us and groaned.

“Go ahead, finish me, you win, but you will never defeat my master.” He said with a low voice.

“Your master? Who is this master of yours?” I asked him.

“He is the one who rules all worlds, both real and imaginary, with an iron fist. He is the one who gave me such power.” He mumbled out.

“If you will take us to this master of yours then I will spare your miserable life.”

My companions looked shocked but seemed to understand what I was doing.

“Agreed. OPEN PORTAL TO MASTER.” He said. A giant purple vortex appeared on the side wall and, reluctantly, we all jumped in.

When we landed, we found that beneath our feet was a cold gray surface with no interesting details. Above us was a swirl of blood red and black. This place was scary, even scarier than the yerk pool. Then I saw… him. He was risen on a huge throne, reaching to near the top of the sky in this horrid place. He had no arms and only one eye, but you could feel the flow of hatred of life and goodness coming from him, and terrible powers beyond any weapon I possessed. I recognized him somehow, as if from a dream. Then I remembered his name, a name that shot terror in all that knew it, he was the Crayak.

I see that you have finally come, Guardian. You think that you can defeat me with a feeble sword. I tell you this right now, you are doomed.” He said to us.

All of my companions were trembling with fear, as was I. I knew that there was something that I had forgotten to do, something important, but now it was too late, we would be destroyed for sure. Malee and Kargupi got up the courage to blast at him. Unfortunately a gray shield of energy around him blocked the attacks.

“I am tired of playing around, I will summon my sage of chaos to end your miserable existence here.”

With that a gray vortex opened up beside his throne, but then turned a dark shade of blood red, and a small figure emerged from it holding a red staff with a dark purple gem of some sort at the top.

“InfinityHell!” Kargupi yelled out in surprise, immediately recognizing the chaos sage.

The fire shoyru, or at least creature that took the form of a fire shoyru, looked straight at him and said, “Yes, it is good to see that you recognize me, Kargupi. You see right before I was completely destroyed, Crayak here created an alternate timeline where I won, thus creating a copy of the me that you destroyed. He showed me incredible power, power even greater than that such as the shards possessed. This staff I hold in my hand gave me the power to travel the RPs. I was even able to keep the shard of darkness here. Yes, it is true that you defeated me in your timeline, but I still exist here, and this time I will cause you to be destroyed for good.” Then he looked at the rest of us and said, “Together you may pose a threat but if I separate you, then you will be weak and your environment will destroy you one by one.”

With that he raised his staff and the shard of darkness at the top started to glow. Then he started to spin it around and last slashed the rod in our direction. Five red balls of energy formed and swallowed us up. I tried to get out of mine but it kept on getting smaller and smaller until it disappeared. I was still alive, weak but alive. I was in a forest of some sort. It looked normal enough. I was weak, so weak, I just wanted to rest for a minute. I was also alone, none of my friends were anywhere to be seen. Perhaps when I woke up I would try to figure everything out. I dropped down and fainted.

To be continued…
