Scenario Dreams 2, Part 2: The Change

As I journeyed though this familiar area between realities I couldn’t help but wonder what all had happened since I had left. I knew that Norvil had disabled all of the Yerk’s technology and won the war for the Andalites, but how would thousands of people suddenly freed from imprisonment within their own mind affect the earth there? I decided that I would just have to find out for myself.  I saw in front of me an opening in this odd environment, I had arrived at my destination. Upon  going into the light I landed on a field of soft bluish grass. Taking a moment to look around I noticed huge fields of nothing but grass land. The sky above me was a peaceful tone or red that had traces of gold in it. It seemed very strange to me that such a color of sky could let as much light through as it did. As I was looking up I noticed some strange bird that had six wings fly around. It didn’t look happy. It dove down after me at an extremely quick speed. I jumped quickly out of the way of the first strike and got ready to face it again, stretching my shoyru wings to full length in hopes of intimidating it. As the bird dove for me a second time I saw a flash of red swoop down and knock it out of trajectory. Dazed by the impact my attacker flapped off the other direction, finally leaving me alone. Gathering my wits I looked around to see what had happened. Looking slightly to the side I noticed a very familiar red tail hawk. It landed in front of me and looked straight at me with its piercing glare.

<Welcome back, Jay. Looks like you got yourself into a bit of trouble there.> The hawk whom I now recognized as my old friend Tobias said to me in thought speech.

“Umm… hello again, Tobias. What is this place?”

<You don’t know?> He said, sounding rather surprised, <I would have thought that the territorial Kafit bird would have given it away. This is the Andalite home world.>

“So that’s what the think that attacked me was” I thought to myself. Relaxing again and looking around at the scenery I said to Tobias, “So, are you the only one I know here, or is there anyone else?”

<Nah, there is another here that I am pretty sure you have met. Follow me.> He said, taking flight immediately after. Not wanting to fall behind I stretched my wings, jumped up into the air, and took off after him. With all my memory back flying was easy, and really fun to be able to do after so long. The flight was relatively short but the view was very nice. All along the route were fields of grass, very neat looking trees, and beautiful formations between the land and the lakes that were scattered around. About 10 minutes of flying passed before I saw what looked like an upside down dome in the land. I could see lots of machines inside that looked like they might be household appliances of sorts. Tobias landed next to a little door that was in the side of this structure and I followed, wondering why they bothered to put a door there when the top was wide open.

<Well, go ahead and open it.> Tobias said, <I would open the door for you but as you well know I am incapable of such a task anymore.> Upon saying that last sentence he ruffled his feathers a bit. I walked over to the door and reached for the handle, which oddly enough was in almost exactly the right position for my size as a shoyru.

A rush of cool air hit me as I opened the door. I really hadn’t realized how hot it was out until I went inside. The scenery there was extremely plain, just a bed a table and chairs and in one corner what looked like an advanced computer system. The ground below me was grass, the house had no artificial flooring. Looking over at the computer area one more time I noticed a familiar figure. At first I thought it was Lonely, but then I thought about what all had happened when I was here the first time.

“Hello, Jay” I said to the figure, slightly amused at the thought that I was, indeed, talking to myself.

The figure turned around and smiled, adjusting his desert shoyru headgear. “Hello indeed, Jay. Lots has happened since you left. Welcome, come on in… well I guess you already are but in any case, what brings you to our neck of the woods?”

I went over to the computer system and said simply, “Well, it seems there is someone out of place in this RP that’s going to try to start a whole new war. The only problem is that I have no idea where to look.”

“That is a problem.” he said pausing to think, “If there’s someone out of place then our best place to go is Earth.”

            “Why?”

Still very calmly he turned to the computer and started typing as he talked with me, “After your friend stopped the Andalite-Yerk war and Earth was credited as the location where the final blow was made the Andalites really started to take notice of the human race. With every conceivable possibility of keeping extra-terrestrial life a secret they introduced themselves to the humans and explained to the ones that had been lucky enough not to have been captured what ordeal had just been stopped. Since then relations between the two species has grown stronger and stronger. Earth’s natural metropolis tendencies made it the prime location to keep information. At this time Earth is quite literally the information and communications center of the universe.”

Following this long speech I could do nothing but stand there and try to digest the fact that the simple action of letting Norvil near a computer would cause such a massive change in this place. I looked up to see the Andalite sky above me and decided to change the subject by asking, “Why is the roof open here? Wouldn’t everything in here get wet if it rained?”

“Oh that? There actually is a roof there but its simply an energy field. It’s not always clear though, here’s one of my favorite ceiling settings.” My other self said as he typed in a few buttons on the computer. In an instant the Andalite sky disappeared and was replaced with a nighttime scene of a starry sky as it would be seen through a grove of trees, a small breeze blowing their branches. “This reminds me greatly of home.” he said.

I smiled at this, realizing that he had been shoyru so long that he associated the woods with his home, thinking of his human life simply as images from his childhood. Thinking more about this it made me kind of sad, I could just of easily been the Jay that stayed stuck forever in shoyru form. Sure he kept his memories at all times, but what memories those must be, having to completely give up all that he knew and live as a different being away from home. It reminded me a bit of how I felt when I got some of my powers but not my memory, how alone I felt.

Sensing my thoughts Jay switched the roof back to transparent mode and hit a key on the keyboard to bring up some information on a ship that was headed for earth. “There, If we head out now we should be able to make it. It’s a standard transport ship piloted by Andalite Captain Dan.”

“Captain Dan?” I said inquisitively, thinking how odd a name Dan was for an Andalite.

“Well, Dan Isn’t his real name, its just what humans call him since his real name is so hard to pronounce… kinda like we had for Ax.” He turned and looked at Tobias, who was resting on a peach close to the bed, “Hey, Tobias, Silver Jay and I are going to Earth for a bit, don’t make to big a mess while we’re gone.”

Tobias woke and looked at us as sleepily as his body would allow, <Okay, okay, I’ll keep the place up.> with that he turned around and went back to sleep.

“Did you just call me Silver Jay?” I asked, realizing immediately how dumb a question it was.

He just smiled a bit as I looked at my silver shoyru hands. Without saying a word he headed to the doorway motioning me to follow, <No need to wake Tobias again, if we leave any later we’ll miss the transport.> Jay said to me in thought speech. That surprised me at first but I remembered that that was one of the abilities that I used to possess.

It had gotten a little bit darker out when we stepped outside. My other self stretched his wings and jumped into the air. I followed suit and jumped up after him. On our way to one of the only city areas on the planet I jokingly said, “You know, having two Jays might be a bit confusing. Its too bad there isn’t some way to differentiate between us.

“Well why not call me DJ.” He said with a chuckle.

“Why not.” I reaffirmed, “Stands for Desert Jay, right?”

He nodded, a motion which caused him to loose control of his flight for a second before stabilizing himself.

A few minutes of flying passed and I saw what looked like a huge metropolis. The buildings there were spaced out considerably, apparently as to not obstruct the beauty of the land while one was in the city.

“This is one of the only four cities on the Andalite home world” DJ said to me, “A number that most likely will grow as the Andalites accept more species as friends, now that the war is over.” He switched his angle toward a small section of the city where an air base was located. We landed shortly next to one of the starship docks and DJ escorted me inside a rather large metal ship.

The inside of the ship seemed rather like an open field, with a few seats over in the corner where a family of humans was sitting. All around the field roamed Andalites of various ages. DJ walked over to a door at the other end of this room and motioned for me to follow, “Here, lets go to the bridge, Captain Dan is an old friend of mine.”.

The bridge was very much what one would expect to see, monitors all over the place and a small crew busily working the controls. A noble looking Andalite with a few war scars on his face calmly trotted toward us.

<Ah, Jay, its been a while. You going back to Earth for a visit already, you just got back from there a few months ago. Who is your silver friend?> He said to us directly in though speech.

DJ kinda skipped around on that question, having trouble trying to explain that I was him, so he just told the Andalite that I was an old friend that he had known a long time.

<Well, any friend of Jay, is a friend of mine, most people around here call me Dan, it’s good to meet you.> He said bending down to shake my hand, a custom which he had doubtlessly learned from DJ. As I was shaking his hand I noticed a strange red crystal on his neck. I guessed that it was probably just something signifying his rank. He went back to work and we took a seat in the bridge, for some reason DJ really wanted me to see the workings of the crew.

About an hour or so into the trip a little red glow caught my attention. I looked over and saw that it was coming from the crystal on Dan’s neck. Within seconds of this sight Dan ran over and knocked one of the crew members unconscious, taking control of the ship and apparently changing its route. Everyone else in the bridge rushed to stop him, but grabbed a beam weapon from underneath the control panel and used it to stun the rest of the occupants in the cabin, though forgetting about DJ and I.

“Dan!” DJ yelled out, “What are you doing?!?”

Dan simply continued typing in the control panel.

“Answer me!” DJ yelled out

He turned one stalk eye toward us, crystal on his neck pulsing with every word he said, <I am bringing more victims for my Masters. They require entertainment.>

“You aren’t taking us anywhere! Tazzalor’s Cutlass” I yelled at him as a large pirate sword formed in my hand, my favorite weapon. “Ultramax Hammertron.” I heard DJ yell out, a HUGE stone hammer appearing in his hand. This sight caught me by surprise, the Ultramax Hammertron was the strongest neopian weapon in existence. Its main downfall was its extreme weight and difficulty to control, two difficulties that even I hadn’t overcome.

Dan turned and stared blankly at us, raising his beam weapon. I sped toward him and destroyed the beam with ease by using my cutlass, his reflexes in this odd state were dismal. Now it was DJ’s turn, wielding his hammer just as effectively as I had wielded my cutlass he managed to deliver a massive blow to Dan. The Andalite was sent flying backwards right into a system of computers. Dan crawled out weakly, and walked over to us at a very slow pace. The crystal that had been on his neck was gone, shattered by the impact.

<What just happened.> He said weakly, <One minute I was piloting this ship and the next I find myself in the core of a computer, feeling as if a ship had dropped on me.>

I looked at DJ, DJ looked at me. It was apparent that Dan was back to his normal self, but what damages had been caused? “Captain Dan,” DJ stated in a worried, but formal manner, “could you check and see where this ship is going?”

Dan looked as confused as an Andalite can look but nevertheless started typing a few buttons. He paused for a minute, tromped one of his hooves on the ground and typed the same thing again. <How strange… It seems we are going to the Hork-Bajir homeworld. The ship is set to land at an uninhabited area near the large crater there. I have tried to get us back on course but the computer is giving me some strange error.> He turned one stalk eye at the hole he had just crawled out of, <And that would explain why… It seems I was in the navigational system. Its a wonder the ship is still moving at all.>

“So there isn’t any way to turn this thing around?” I asked

<I’m sorry, it looks like we are just going to have to sit and wait to see what is waiting for us there. I’ll do the best to help the crew. You get some rest, who knows what we’ll find in that region of the planet.>

For the next few hours as we waited we rested all right, but while doing so kept an extremely close eye on Dan. He was fine the rest of the trip and we approached a beautiful green planet. Landing in one of the greener of the areas the two of us were sent outside to scout the area while everyone else stayed inside and tried to fix the ship. After a short walk we came to a group of trees growing out from what looked like a bottomless cavern. Bored I jumped onto one of the branches and started swinging from tree to tree. “Hey this is fun!” I said as I grabbed another vine.

“Be careful, Jay.” DJ said, “You never know what types of things might be lurking in those things.” He seemed rather tense, I guess I would be too if I knew what he knew about how many various dangerous species there existed on other planets.

“Relax, Its not like anything is going to come out and grab me.” I said ironically as the vine I was holding onto came to life and wrapped itself around me. The tree next to me started moving and I saw that indeed it was not a tree but a monstrous creature with thousands of tentacles which I had originally thought to be vines.

“Ahhh!!!” DJ yelled, “That thing is a Lerdeethank!” He though for a split second and called out, “Dual Tazzalor’s Cutlass” One cutlass appeared in each of his hands and he took flight. The creature that had captured me whipped at him with its plethora of tentacles. DJ held the hilts of the two swords together making a razor sharp propeller with them and started spinning at an extreme speed, severing anything that came near him. Meanwhile I somehow managed to struggle free of the vine and called out my own Tazzalor’s cutlass, I had yet to gain the dexterity to be able to use two simultaneously. Working together we scared the beast back to the deep cavern below.

It was getting dark now and we were exhausted. I suggested that we go back to the ship to rest, but DJ said that he would much more at home if we could sleep out here in the trees, like old times. “If nothing else,” I thought, “my other self has gotten a strong love of nature. I guess that’s why he like the Andalite homeworld with it’s peaceful inhabitants.” We sat down on a huge tree branch, one so large you could set a pool table on, and placed a portable kiln upside-down between us, acting as a campfire of sorts.

            “You hungry?” DJ asked me.

I really wasn’t all that hungry but I decided it might give me something to do, keep my mind off the details of what had happened earlier. “Sure,” I said, “What are we having?”

DJ extended his hand, “It’s a weekend so I guess tonight we will have cool neggs.” As he said this a few small orange egg shaped fruits with sunglasses on appeared in his hand. I took one of them and took a bite out of it, feeling new strength form in me.

“Wow, it’s been a long time since I have had one of these. How long have you been eating cool neggs?” I asked.

“I lost track after three years,” he said, “The power of them still increases my strength and speed, not to mention agility. After moving to the Andalite homeworld I got a job moving heavy ship parts. At this point I am in charge of flying the ship hull to the final step of installing the main thrusters. After that the ship is ready to fly. The ship that Dan commands was my first one to help build.”

That really explained a lot to me. With a diet as his it was no wonder that he was physically stronger than me in every aspect. I finished my negg quite refreshed and leaned against the trunk of tree to go to sleep DJ put out the kiln and dissipated it, going to sleep himself under the stars with a serene view of the treetops.

Hours into the night passed. My sleep was filled with images from my past, especially my days of role-playing, creating complex story lines and backgrounds for the characters who I had met just before regaining my memories. Who knew that the backgrounds were actually true… Something about Bremen bothered me though. I had never made a background for him, he just appeared out of nowhere, his origin a complete mystery.

There in the trees in the middle of the night I woke slightly, not moving but sensing a disturbance around me.

“Good work Kotake.” I heard what sounded like an elderly female say.

“Oh, it was your handiwork that got our new victims here Koume” I heard another similar voice say.

“True, but lets not waste our time talking, I want to control the other one.” I heard the first voice, whom I assumed to be named Koume say.

The two of them got closer and I opened my eyes and jumped up, delivering two strong blows. My punches connected with two old looking figures riding broomsticks, one with a red crystal on her headpiece and the other with a blue crystal on her headpiece. They were sent flying backwards but stabilized themselves, floating to either side in front of me out of range.

“A strong one we have here sister, what do you think we should do.” The witch with the blue crystal named Kotake said to Koume.

“He looks a lot like the sandy colored one, you think they are partners?” Koume asked rhetorically.

“Yes, I believe they might be,” Kotake said, “This will be quite fun to watch.” At that Kotake snapped her fingers. In front of me I saw DJ wake up and stand facing Kotake. Looking closely at him in the dim moonlight I could see a blue crystal situated on his neck, the exact same style that Dan’s crystal had been. The crystal started to glow and DJ spoke.

“What do you request of me master?” he said.

Kotake grinned widely, looking at me the entire time she spoke, “I want you to injure this silver creature until he cant fight anymore. Don’t kill him though, my sister might want her own little flying creature to control.”

“As you wish.” DJ said in a monotone voice, immediately calling out his Ultramax Hammertron.

“Jay! Stop this” I called out hoping that calling him by his real name would help. It was to no avail though he charged at me and swung his hammer. His reflexes and speed were slower than usual, but they had been so fast to begin with that he matched me in speed, nevertheless I was able to jump out of the way. “Snap out of it!” I cried again. He swung his hammer downward and nearly bashed me on the head, but I dodged again. After the loud booming noise that resulted from his swing I heard a crack as the entire thick branch fell off the tree down into the abysmal cave below. We flew now and DJ dissipated the hammer, calling up his dual Tazzalor’s cutlasses instead. Koume and Kotake watched as he performed amazing aerial maneuvers, wielding his blades with deadly expertise. All the while I was pulling off haphazardly performed aerial maneuvers trying my best to dodge as many blows as I could. It was not long before he got a good blow to my left wing, tearing the skin membrane making it almost impossible to fly. I tried my best to continue to awaken him but it was no use. I glided over to the area of the tree where our branch was originally located and clung onto the side, falling right before I reached it but managing to catch a splinter and hang on, my wing finally loosing all use.

“Go ahead and finish him off” I heard Koume say from behind, “He is far too weak to interest me.”

“Yeah, he looks strong and can fly pretty good, but he’s to much of a coward to be of any use. Kill him” Kotake reiterated.

“It shall be done” DJ said, crossing his swords in a manner that I recognized, the dreaded Garo slash. The Garo slash is a two handed sword technique that is very easy to block, but if it connects there is little to no chance of surviving. He dove down toward me swords crossed as if they were a giant pair of scissors. At that point it finally dawned on me, if I could destroy the gem then DJ might regain control and we wouldn’t have to both fall victim to these witches. Using the last ounce of strength I had I pushed myself up and off the branch, calling out my own cutlass and striking the crystal on DJ’s neck as he went by. Having nothing to hold myself up with and no energy left to fight I passed out and fell into the abyss, memories flooding back to me as if they were actually happening all over again.

DJ woke from his trance and looked down in time to see me fall out of sight. He looked over at the two witches then down at the swords in his hands, a fragment of crystal resting on one of their blades.

“How disgustingly noble an action that was.” Koume said.

“Yeah, freeing his friend from our control before falling to his death. He may have been a coward but he sure had a flair for being melodramatic. He couldn’t just settle for perishing without making a big scene. Lets go ahead and take control of this guy again, he seems to be quite a capable fighter.”

“You… You did this?” DJ said sadly but gaining rage with every second, “You snuck up on me in my sleep and used some kind of sorcery to turn me into a puppet. You made me fight my own friend and tried to make me kill him by my own hands. I remember some of it now, the horror of knowing what I was doing but not being able to do anything about it.” At this point he was practically screaming in rage, “You called him a coward all the while as you hid behind me. Tell me, is giving your life to give your friend a second chance an act of cowardice? If nothing else you two are the cowards, and you are going to pay for the life of Jay.” He looked at the two cutlasses in his hand. DJ’s fury was causing them to glow slightly and they disappeared. The witches simply chucked at this performance, obviously not taking him as any threat. Now in a complete blind rage DJ flew forward with all his strength. As he flew something extremely strange happened. His skin started to change color, from the color of the desert sands to a shade as dark as midnight. His desert headgear re-wove itself and became a golden headband. Golden bands appeared around his wrists and ankles. The golden tip on his feat faded away and revealed razor sharp shoyru claws, and his golden tail covering simply faded away. A long sheathed katana appeared on his back and his eyes changed from brown to a brilliant shade of gold. Still in a blind fury he swooped up and cried out, “Tazzalor’s Shuriken” his voice echoing strongly against the endless forest of trees. Six cutlasses appeared in front of him and joined together at the hilt, forming a large starburst shaped weapon. The witches looked a bit surprised at this display but still showed no signs of fearing this new form of the little one. DJ grabbed the shuriken floating in front of him and hurled it with all his strength at Kotake. Simply raising her hand Kotake formed a shield of ice energy. The shuriken hit the shield and shattered it, losing no momentum at all. Kotake’s look was that of pure confusion and panic as the weapon hit the crystal on her head, cracking it. Immediately after impact the shuriken flew back to DJ, landing safely in his hand.

“How could you do such a thing!” Koume said, “That crystal is the only way that my sister can control the minds of others.” A sudden though came to her and she touched the red crystal on her own head. “Hey, Kotake, Lets get out of here for now. We have better things to do.”

Kotake nervously nodded and they both rode their broomsticks high into the night sky.

DJ sighed and dissipated his weapon, looking down at his new hands. Only now was he calming from his blind rage and realizing that he had changed. Making sure his new sword wouldn’t slip out he dove downwards as fast as he could go to try to find me. At least ten minutes of diving passed before he could see the bottom of this massive fissure in the planet. Pretty much giving all hope at that point he landed, sitting on a rock. A few minutes of his silent sorrow passed and then he started to feel the rock under him move. DJ got up and looked at what he had been sitting on. It wasn’t a rock at all but a stone shoyru statue.

I began to wake up feeling as if I was very out of place. Getting up off the ground and feeling very sore I looked around this pitch black area. Then I remembered what had happened just before I passed out and wondered if I was still alive. In the darkness I saw two glowing golden eyes and staggered back, extremely startled. “W-what are you” I asked with fear in my voice.

“Jay?” the familiar voice said, “Is that really you? How did you survive such a long fall?”

“You… sound like DJ, but I cant see a thing”

“You cant?” He a said with a tone of confusion in his voice, “I can see perfectly fine.” The eyes seemed to look all around at their owner, then I heard a sword being pulled from it’s sheathe. I was more than a bit nervous at this point. “Yes, I am DJ, but I really don’t fit the description of Desert Jay anymore. I guess you can call me… Ninjay.” I heard the sword being put back again and Ninjay spoke, “But I still cant believe you are still alive Jay. By all logical means a fall like that should have been deadly.”

At that moment a light appeared and a blue lined clear vortex emerged to my right. As I turned my left wing started hurting again so I called out a jade scorchstone and healed myself before looking at the vortex again. In the vortex I could see what looked like a living shoyru statue with vines covering his body. Norvil, Bremen, Malee and the Ellimist were standing around him. “Hey, you two okay?” The figure said, “Oh and by the way this is Lonely, we saw what was going on but couldn’t do anything until Your alternate form hit Kotake’s crystal, releasing hundreds of mind prisoners and restoring some strength to the Ellimist. He was able then to allow me to take up my earth form and use a special ability called petrify on Jay, who was about to hit the end of his fall. Petrify will turn something I concentrate on into unbreakable stone, thus making them immune to, well… pretty much anything until it wears off.”

In the light I was able to look back and see Ninjay for the first time. His look frightened me somewhat at first but his countenance was of such that there was no suspicion of him hurting me. “If you only knew how strange you look” I thought at him lightheartedly.

“Did you just use… thought speech?” He said to me, “I thought you had said that you couldn’t do that anymore.”

“You heard me think?” I asked, “Here I’ll think something again, tell me if you hear me. “Hello, testing”  I thought to myself.

“No, I haven’t heard anything yet, I think now I can only hear thought speech when someone directs their thoughts at me.”

The Ellimist stepped up an front of Lonely and looked closely at Ninjay, “It appears that the blue box that you touched when you first came into this timeline had much more effect on you then we had originally thought. Only now are you reaching your full potential.” He paused for a moment and looked at the katana on Ninjay’s back intensely. “Take that sword out of it’s sheathe, It can’t be what I think it is, but it looks so much like it”

Confusedly Ninjay removed the katana from it’s sheathe on his back holding it out. The Hit of it as I had seen earlier was dark as midnight, like the rest of his body, but the blade of it was a pure golden color that seemed to radiate on it’s own.

“It looks so much like it, but I can’t tell for sure in the state I am in. Alternate Jay, erm excuse me, Ninjay, look at the area behind me and concentrate on it then slash your sword in the air in front of you, I want to see what happens.”

Still extremely confused Ninjay did so. A gold vortex appeared where he slashed and an identical one appeared in the area behind the Ellimist. “Wow, cool!” Ninjay said, “Though I’m not sure if I can close it though, I’ll try” He looked at the vortex concentrating and the both of them dissipated immediately.

“It actually is!” The Ellimist said excitedly. Still not revealing what the sword was that Ninjay had, he gave one more command as he held out his hand, “You see that rock next to you? Strike it and think about the palm of my hand”

A little annoyed at this point Ninjay did so. The rock that he hit glowed gold and disappeared, reappearing in the palm of the Ellimist’s hand. “Well, what is it?” Ninjay finally blurted out.

“Be calm little one.” The Ellimist said, “The sword you hold in your hand is known as the Realitybreaker, or the RB Katana for short. It is one of the great weapons of the reality planes, just like the Guardian’s staff, which when it is complete is the most powerful of them all. The Realitybreaker however is different in that it doesn’t rely on an outside power source such as the staff’s shard but from the very flow of the RPs. It has been lost for the longest time, strange that it would appear just now and even stranger chose the Guardian’s alternate self to appear to. My power is fading now, return the out of place ones to their native RP with that sword, it is the only way you can completely restore order to this plane of reality.” With that said the vortex closed and the cavern went dark again.

“Lets fly back to the ship.” I said to the pair of golden eyes belonging to Ninjay. They were looking downward as if scanning the sword that he had just learned about. I heard the sword go into it’s sheathe and the eye were lifted up as Ninjay took flight silently. I followed him and we soon escaped the canyon, coming to the ship. While inside Ninjay had to do quite a bit of explaining around, but he seemed to like the new term and called himself Ninjay to everyone who asked. Upon checking in, Captain Dan told us that two unidentified objects had been seen heading toward earth at a speed where they would arrive there soon. We wasted no time in exiting the ship and flying over to the area above the tree lined ravine.

“Here, I’ll open a portal to Earth, we might be able to catch them off guard.” Ninjay said.

“Hey, I can use vortexes too. I wonder why we didn’t do that in the first place.” I said, suddenly realizing my own absentmindedness.

“I don’t know, but really if it wasn’t for your forgetting that you could use your powers then none of this would have happened and those witches would still be getting away with their plot.” He said musingly as he swung his sword in front of him. Another golden vortex appeared and we both jumped in, the portal closing behind us.

The sky was dark when we appeared above a little earth city, the clock tower on it’s city hall reading midnight. I called out my Tazzalor’s cutlass and Ninjay unsheathed his sword.

“Why do you always fight as a shoyru?” he asked me, “You can become human, or even Guardian anytime you wish. Why not use those forms.”

I thought for a minute on this question, “Under a few circumstances I would fight as the Guardian and use my staff, but those would probably only be when facing an enemy on which  would be necessary to use those. I guess I feel that if I used my powers to blow up every little opponent that came my way I would be abusing my gift. Besides, there is nothing like fighting side by side with an alternate form of yourself.”

Ninjay seemed satisfied and even impressed with this answer. We waited a few minutes and two dots descended from the sky. We flew up to meet them in the air, far above this little town.

“Look Koume!” One of the figures said as they descended.

“Its not possible, there is no way the shadowed one could have gotten here faster than us.” Said the other one. They were now hovering at out level in the sky.

“Not only that but the dead one is with him! We better prepare for a battle.” Kotake stammered out, gaining more confidence in her voice as she neared the end of the sentence.

Ninjay rushed forward and slashed at Koume. Noting happened other than Koume got injured a bit where she was hit and got really angry. “What happened?” he said, “I thought that was supposed to send them back?”

“I think for one thing you have to aim for the sword to send them back to their native RP and also we may have to weaken them first.” I said. In the time taken for me to say this I failed to notice that The two witches were preparing an attack. Ninjay pushed me out of the way just as I was about to be hit by a blast of fire. Soon after Ninjay himself dodged ice thrown from the other witch, Kotake.

Ninjay and I tried again with a frontal sword attack but they dodged us, now knowing our trick. Just as we whizzed past them I remembered where I had seen these two before and thought directly at Ninjay hoping that he would get my message as thought speech like he did last time, “They are from Ocarina of Time, one of the last bosses in the game. All we have to do is reflect one sister’s magic back to the other one, but we will have to do it at the same time to get a good whack at them with your sword.”

<Good idea,> he replied back to me, “Reflective arm shield” he said softly, a mirror coated arm shield appearing on his person. I followed likewise calling out a standard mirror shield and we hovered within a few feet of each other.

“Ahh, very good, they’re helping us out by making themselves easier targets.” Koume said, obviously falling for our plan.

“They must be tired, lets hit them with all we have.” Kotake said, fooled as well. With that they both started to radiate with energy before sending two massive blasts our way. We raised our shields into view and each of us reflected our blast to the opposite sister. They were hit and started falling from the sky, mostly from the shock of being hit by such an unexpected attack. Ninjay went to work quickly and hit the both of them with his sword in one slash. They glowed golden for a second and disappeared.

“We did it!” I yelled triumphantly. A blue vortex appearing in front of me and I waved goodbye to Ninjay. Just before I flew in I heard him say something to me.

“Hey, whenever you face the next one give me a call, Ill make a path to your location and help you return whoever you’re facing back to where they should be.”

I smiled at this and agreed to let him help me whenever I came to that situation. Taking a deep breath I flew into the vortex, not knowing where it would take me.

Surprisingly after a few minutes I arrived in the RP temple where everyone else was gathered. I looked around to se that the inside of the temple had increased greatly in beauty.

“Very good job, Guardian.” I heard the voice of the Ellimist say from the back of the building. All the rest of the group seemed really excited for some reason, “Upon the defeat Koume and Kotake it seems that I have regained a great deal of my strength. I am going to let you take one partner with you to the next RP. Choose wisely”

“Hey, Lonely,” I said to my friend who was now back to his normal self, “you want to go?”

Lonely looked over at Bremen, who at the time was walking around randomly looking at everything, and said, “I would like to go but I have been to the Hyrule reality plane that you are going to next before. Could you take Bremen? He would really like it.”

Bremen looked up from his absentminded wandering and exclaimed, “Yay!!! I get to go to a different planet!”

I was a little hesitant to take one so hyper as Bremen on my journey, but seeing the look on Lonely’s face I couldn’t really say no. Returning to Guardian form and making a portal to the Hyrule RP I invited Bremen to go in first. He made sure he still had his sword sheathed and jumped in. “This is going to be one interesting journey…” I said as I changed back to shoyru and jumped in.
