Northwood Municipal / Vince Field Airport is located about 25NM southwest of the city of Grand Forks. The airport lies 1 mile past the southwest corner of Northwood. Hangars are located on the south side of the runway, taxiway is on the east end of 8-26. Windsocks are on top of the hangar and inside segmented circle west of buildings on the south side of the runway.
Runway:
8-26 is 3160' long by 60' wide. The runway was recently new, in good condition and has pilot controlled lighting on CTAF. There is a GPS approach for runway 26. Also a new rotating beacon and Runway Visual Approach Slope Indicator are operational. Pilot controlled lighting.
Pattern:
The traffic pattern is at 800' AGL (1917' MSL) Traffic is left hand for runway 26 and right hand for runway 8. Try to avoid overflight of town if possible.

Several aircraft may be in the pattern, from ultralights, to Ag aircraft, to UND students, and other flight training operations, some with and some without radios. Ag aircraft and other aircraft sometimes operate off of the grass parallel to the south edge of the old runway, use at own risk. Public airport trailer open 24-7 with phone inside. Hangar construction this summer has been delayed, but is still scheduled. Stop by, somebody is usually around!
