I know it has been a long time since I have written in here but I finally figured out how to add a page to the website.  With Jodi being in South Africa and no way for me to get a hold of her I had to figure this website stuff out on my own.  Yes I have to admit Jodi is the mastermind behind the whole website, she did such a wonderful job with everything.  The only problem being is that I didn't learn how to archive my pages so that is what has been taking me so long.  Okay enough with the poor me story about not knowing how to use the website correctly.
I hope everyone is enjoying their new year, I can't belive we are already in mid March, man time flyes when you get older.  My advise for the youngsters is to stay young as long as possible! :)

Wow where do I begin with my year, we are in full swing at Central Arizona College with the team already getting ready to head in to the second half of the season.  It has been quite an interesting year with the girls this year.  Let's just say that we have about six girls on the team that are so use to having things their way that it is spliting the team apart.  The team this year lacks hard work, dedication, pride and most of all heart.  It is almost as if they just don't care if they win or loose.  I know it is very sad, but this is the feeling I get when I am at the games, it makes it very hard to sit and watch when I know how much tallent the team has.  ADVISE:  Don't just expect to have everything handed to you, please learn what it is like to work hard and have heart and desire to win no matter what it takes.  Especially if you want to pursue a college career, no coach wants girls who don't work hard and give it their all.

Let's see what else have I been up to?  hmmmmmm   Well I did sign with the Women's Professional Team Arizona Heat, but after sitting down and really thinking about it I have decided to decline my offer and not play this summer.  I know, I know it was such a once in a lifetime oppertunity to play, but my heart is not in playing anymore.  My family is much more important then living out of a suitcase for a summer.  I already had the experience of living out of a suitcase when I was in college and feel that I really do not need to experience it again.  To me I have really been enjoying the otherside of playing, giving back to the girls who have looked up to me by teaching the sport.  That is much more fullfilling then anything that I have ever accomplished.  So yes I have turned down the oppertunity to play professional softball this summer.

Well I must be going, it is time for me to start working and get off of the computer.  I am so glad I finally figured this web design stuff out so now I can keep in contact with you all.  Take Care for now and I will keep you updated!  ~Crystal

Oh My Goodness it's been two years since I have written in here.  So much has been happening in my life that I haven't had the oppertunity to keep everyone up to date.  I actually just celebrated my 1 year aniversary this past Valentines Day with my wonderful husband Joe.  We are still living in the heated Southwest with our two addorable boxer puppies chewie and gucci.  Talk about a handful, these two puppies are more then I bargained for.  I can't believe the energy that they both have, never in my life did I expect to be running around the house chasing two puppies with this kind of energy.  I guess they are preparing me for what the future holds.  If kids are anything like these two at least now I will be prepared.  HA HA HA

I haven't played ball for about three years now and that is very strange to think of.  Before I hung up my spikes I never thought that there would be a day where I was done playing, but sadley that day ended.  Actually it was a good change for me, I was able to pursue ventures that I had always wanted to pursue.  Don't get me wrong I am starting to get the itch to play again, but I know my days are over.  See girls what happens when you hang your spikes up is that you then go into a career of slowpitch.  Ha Ha.  Never would I have imagined that I would be playing slowpitch when I was a youngster, that was just embarrasing to think about and now look at me, SlowPitch Professional. HA HA HA.  Slowpitch is great fun and it's a great thing to get out there and socialize with my friends that live on the other side of the Valley.

This past fall I was talked into coaching an 18u team here in the Valley and I will be traveling with them this comming summer.  We have a pretty hard and busy schedule lined up for these girls.  I'm pretty excited about them because my sister (who is going to be a Beaver in the fall) and two of my other pitchers that I have been working with since I moved here are on my team.  It should be a pretty successful, stressfull and jam packed summer, I can't wait.

I am also doing lessons here in the valley at a facillity called Total Fastpitch.  It has come in very nice during the HOT summer months.  My students range in age from 9yrs to 18yrs.  What a great time I have with the 9 and 10 year olds, boy they make my just love my life.  The older girls I love but they sometimes can be a pain in my batooty.  Overall most of the students I work with have great work ethic and attitudes, it makes my job super easy.

So there you have it, the past two years in a nutshell.  I will try and keep you all up to date a little bit sooner then every two years.   Hope all is well in the great Northwest!  Don't forget to check out and support your Beavers!  They are ranked #8 in the country!
