| Case # 3 The Joe Driser Case
Written by Jett Wriggley Summery: Joes family attacked by ancient demon animals sacrificed by locals 2 am May 7th 2005 A call comes in from a Mr. Joe Driser. Nolan had taken the call. The caller described disturbances of strange animals appearing in and around their house. They have never owned any animals of any kind for the three years they have lived at the residence. Nolan and myself investigate the following morning. 9am May 7th 2005 We arrive and begin our investigation. Using our PKE Meters we found trace levels of activity from hotspots that were confirmed by the family. The Driser family seems normal, a blue collar worker middle class family unit. Joe Driser, the original caller, is a State Trooper for the ISP (Indiana State Police). But he has been forced to stay home because of the increased frequency of the appearances of strange animals. He thinks they are not alive but dead somehow, and decided to call us. I determined the best course of action was to have Nolan and myself stay the night to see if any more activity appears. 2am May 8th 2005 Nolan took the West side of the home while I took the East side. Around 2am one of Joes daughters screamed, for she had confronted another dead animal. Nolan reached her first and got a low class 3 reading. It was indeed an undead animal, a tabby cat that looked like it had been beaten or strangled. Nolan and I were able to set ourselves up around the phantom cat before it got away and we trapped it easily. Unbeknownst to us it would not be that easy. 2pm May 16th 2005 A message was left while we were out. It was Joe. He says there were even more occurrences of strange dead animals. It had gotten so bad he moved his family out of the house. Something more had to be going on here. Nolan got the contact information for the previous owners of the house. 8pm It was discovered that the house at one time belonged to a deranged individual who is now serving time for several murders from the local area. This home was used as a sacrificial ground for the animals. Police had uncovered about a dozen sets of animal bones around and inside of the home after he was captured in the might 1980s. Our plan was to set up a perimeter around the house and try to draw out all of the spirits at once. We called in Jacqueline Umphry back from her two week vacation. 7pm May 17th 2005 We combined our efforts and scoped out every nook and cranny of the home, looking to find the home of the spirits, where they resided, and contained them. We were mildly successful, but our presence only seemed to agitate them, as the spirits became more vicious towards us the more spirits we were able to contain. The house itself was beginning to sustain damage. We had no choice by the end but to defend ourselves with the nuclear accelerators and eventually hunt down what we think is the last of the spirits. Unfortunately the damage to the property was so severe the house was later torn down. Aftermath: Joe Driser came to us about a week later, and said his children were still very much disturbed over their experience with the animal spirits. They said they felt safer with a GB on call, but we could not spare the manpower for such a request. Joe instead quite the ISP and wanted a job with IGB. We accepted him with little problem, due to his background in law enforcement. He was officially employed with the Ghostbusters as of May 24th, 2005 |
