Omaha Blues To be on Cox CH. 109 Wed. 7/16 at 6:30 PM

Omaha Blues makes it's first appearance on Cox Cable Channel,
the new Public access Channel Wednesday July 16Th 2008 at
6:30 PM. The show was produced by Dave E. Walker and will
feature footage of his trip to Washington D.C. to see Hank
Johnson, from Georgia sworn in as the first practicing Buddhist
in Congress after a hard fought campaign. Congressman Johnson
and Mr. Walker are members of the Soka Gakki International, a
Lay Buddhist organization that advocates world peace and is a
Non Government Organization of the United nations. The show
will also feature footage of the Washington D.C. Buddhist Choir
rehearsing for a Culture Show at a community college. Senator
Barack Obama's office and an unexpected appearance by
Congressman Lee Terry are also on the show and if you listen
closely you hear mention of Congressman Terry's father Lee who
is still broadcasting.
The new Congress was sworn in on January 3, 2007 and producer
Walker was recovering from a heart attack that he suffered
the previous March. Some of the other events that
week include:
Rev. Jesse Jackson's Wall Street Week lost big sponsors
because of his saying in a speech that Wall Street wealth was
based on Slave Labor
The "Subway Superman" who risked his own life to save a
person from being run over by a train.
Saddam's execution on camera was being shown around the world
Memorial Services were held for Omaha-born President
Gerald Ford.
James Brown's funeral in New York and battle that began over
his estate. His doctor was one of the supporters who came
from Georgia to Washington D.C. to see Congressman Hank
Johnson Sworn in.
Nebraska's stand-alone Senator Chuck Hagel making national
news for his decision making and his view of the Iraq War
Future shows will feature more of the D.C. footage as well as
coverage of North Omaha Entertainment by Roll N On and 24Th
Street economic development by the newly formed Bizznuss crew
who operate North 24Th .com. and hope Omaha Blues is enjoyed
by all who watch it.
