| - Seniors Report - Major League - Called of due to Ben's 21st birthday ... and a wee bit of wain!! Division One - Well the legends had a lovely little trip to the country this week. We all hopped in the car and went to Beef Week ... We saw a cow. Well we think it was a cow. It was wearing a dress. .... Maybe that was the Beef Week Queen .. hard to tell really. Anyways ... we drove out the play the Casino boys. I withdraw the boys bit... Lets just say that the infield was a forward pack that the Wallabys would be proud of... man! So the game went like this. Norths ...Bang Bang Bang .... 9 runs. Casino went bang bang ... 5 runs. One innings ... 55 minutes. Poor ole Kezza was buggered so we had a bit more of a hit. Kezza slowed them down in the second and off we went again. Most of the boys got hits throughout the game. Patty, Deegs, and Kezza all did well with the bat. Some however had a few problems. Gards K2'd a couple of times and swore he wont play Div 1 again. Thanks Gard for helping out ... we appreciated it. Damien also watched a few strikes across the plate. Unfortunately, this was the third strike. He knows what they look like now. Geoff also forgot to swing the bat ... and when he did he missed ... but they gave him four walks anyways - hehe! Long and the short of it was a win to the good guys. Division Two - Cubs lost ... Bears had a 28 - 11 win over Brothers in the night game. The boys smacked the ball all over the park. Hell they even pitched Smithy .... how much of a chance do Brothers want??? Division Three - Lost ... bummer! - Juniors Reports - Under 16's, 14's 12's - no report. Under 18's went down to Easts 7 - 3. The 18's were up against it in the first. Norths lost two runners on bases while stealing three and this stiffled things a little. Easts came out and belted 6 runs. Norths tried to pull it back in the second but failed to convert runners. Jason Britt pitched well throughout. Ben Daly caoched them through to close down the Easts batting and get a few runs home. 18's need to get to training to help run through a few drills in respect of base running. |
