Norths Legends continued the successful tradition that Norths has in the Masters competition, securing a hard fought Silver Medal against Workers in the Final. Norths has cruised through the preliminary games against their pool, with one notable hiccup against the Sunshine Coast - a team that seemed to feel they were destined to win the tournament. Ironically, Norths faced the Sunshine Coast in the Semi-Final, yet struggled against the pitching of a little known youngster by the name of Adrian Meagher. Didge was always in control of the game, allowing the Norths bats to do their work without the pressure of the Sunshine Coast run machine from the previous game.
Due credit to Geoffrey Baxter for his coaching, and to all the boys for their participation. The team included Geoff Baxter, Adrian Meagher, Warren Baxter, Geoffrey Hallmann, Paul Deegan, Rod Parsons, Norm Snow, Steve Kerry, Pat Youngberry, Adrian Meagher, Dave Gardiner, Darrn Cormick, and Scott Elliott (apologies for any omissions). Leon Elliott was, once again, relegated to the DL with a fracture - yet another injury pre-masters.
