The North Jackson Vacation Bible School is well known in the Jackson and surrounding areas. Calls begin coming into the office in March wanting to know the date for our V.B.S. Vacation Bible School is conducted on a Friday night and Saturday, the first weekend in June. Over 100 members are involved. Regular classroom lessons and activities for cradle roll through age 3 are conducted in a regular room setting. Ages 4 through grades 6 go through the following: Bible story skit, application lessons, and crafts. The sound effects, costumes, and elaborate props are produced by members at North Jackson. The scripts for the Bible stories are written in advance and approved by the elders. Hundreds of hours are spent writing scripts, making costumes, painting backgrounds, and working on special effects. There is also a class for adults taught by different men of the congregation. |
