Special classes are conducted periodically: Bible questions / answers, parent / teen relationships, marriage and the family, church leadership, stewardship, etc. |
Women Edifying Women (WEW): The ladies meet every second Monday night in the month. This meeting is in the home of one of the ladies. One of the ladies presents a Bible Lesson with discussion. Wednesday Morning Ladies Class: This class meets every Wednesday morning at 10:30 with the exception of summer months. They go out to eat every first Wednesday. One of the ladies coordinates this so they eat at a different restaurant every month. Wednesday Night Ladies Class: This ladies class is just one of our classes offered on Wednesday night. It is a mixture of ages and taught by various ladies. |
The elders of North Jackson still believe in the power of Gospel Meetings. We have two meetings each year, one in the spring and another in the fall. Some of our speakers during the last five years have been: Billy R. Smith, Nick Hamilton, Tom Holland, Doug Smith, David Powell, William Woodson, Winford Clairborne, and V. P. Black. Besides the customary newspaper advertisements and invitations to other churches, personal letters are mailed to all previous visitors. During the Door-To-Door Campaign, invitations are left on doors the week before our meeting begins. The Groups plan meals during the week. Personal thank you letters are sent to all of our visitors. |
| BIBLE CORRESPONDENCE COURSES |
The North Jackson Church mails out Bible correspondence courses upon request. We use three different courses. Each course contains several lessons. Records and results are kept in the computer. The records include: grades, lessons completed, date returned, and new lesson mail out. Correspondence courses are sent upon request from: Door-To-Door campaign, call-ins requesting information about the church, checked on attendance card, prison contacts, members request for friends. Every person that is baptized is enrolled in a Bible correspondence course. |
