The goal for each of the groups listed below is to provide encouragement and assistance to each young person involved to want to go to heaven. The youth minister oversees every program of work with our young people. PB&J: (Proud to Be Friends of Jesus). This is a fellowship group for Kindergarten students through grade 2. This group meets monthly for fellowship and activities. TWEENS: This is a group of grades 3 through 5. They meet every first Sunday night in the month for a devotional at someone�s house. Parents, Sean & Vicki Jones oversee the Tween group. They also have an activity monthly planned by the parents. JR. HIGH: This group involves grades 6 through 8. They meet every second Sunday night in the month for a devotional. They also have monthly activities. SR. HIGH: This is the high school group � grades 9 � 12. They have a monthly devotional every third Sunday night in someone�s house. Monthly activities are planned. Besides regular Bible classes, special topics are taught from time to time. �Leadership and Training� classes have been taught both to the boys and girls. The aim for the boy�s class focused on taking a part in the public worship. The girls studied leadership qualities as young women in the church. They presented a lesson to the Ladies Bible Class. The young people and their parents have studied lessons on �Teaching Teens To Make Moral Decisions.� The young people and their parents met together the first two weeks and the last two weeks during the quarter. |
MASH: (Marrieds and Singles Heavenbound): This is a group of single young adults and young married couples without children. They have an activity each month, usually the last weekend of each month. This group has been responsible for many young adults choosing North Jackson for their �church family.� TRICADES: The age for this group are the late 20�s (if they have children), 30�s, and early 40�s. They plan an activity each month, usually during the last weekend. Often, the MASH and TRICADE groups get together for their activity. PRIMETIMERS: Just about anybody from the late 40�s to 70�s can be in the Primetimers (depends on your mental attitude). Activities are planned each month by different members of the group. GOLDEN LUNCH BUNCH: This group is made up of older members. Lunch is provided for them the second Saturday in every month by one of the Groups. The fellowship room is decorated beautifully when they come together and makes them feel very special. |
