| Welcome to Northgate Church's Official Website. Here at Northgate we are dedicated to "Meeting People, Meeting Needs." And we are interested in meeting you! Perhaps you came upon our website through surfing the web, or maybe you have heard about Northgate Church through a friend or family member. For what ever reason you stopped by, we are happy to have you join us. So what is Northgate Church? Northgate is a body of Full-Gospel believers based out of Jamestown, NY. The journey goes back to 1999 when Pastors Jeff and Chris Ekstrom heard the call of God to develop a church that would fulfill the purpose of Ephesians 4:11-12 "And He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some evangelists; and some pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:" Many churches in the body of Christ no longer preach the fullness of this scripture. They will say that the Apostolic and Prophetic ministries left with the last apostles of the Bible. There is, however, no Biblical proof to support this ideology. God is still in the business of speaking to His people through all of the five fold ministries as outlined in Ephesians 4:11. The purpose for these ministries are to equip the saints, and that is what Northgate is all about. As a church we believe in building up each individual to reach their highest potential. At Northgate you will experience vibrant praise and worship, which may at times include clapping, dancing, shouting, and loud exuberant singing. You may also see people raising their hands. Others will stay silent and introspectively worship. You will also experience anointed preaching and teaching out of the Word of God. Each Sunday you will be blessed by a practical message intertwined with prophetic insight. These encouraging messages provide step by step ways to bring you to your fullness in God. As a Full-Gospel body of believers, Northgate subscribes to the belief in "Gifts of the Spirit." and their use in the modern Church. It is not unusual to come across the use of tongues, the gift healing, working of miracles, or the prophetic, word of wisdom, or word of knowledge giftings throughout the service. |
