* The average student requires more instruction and experience before meeting the criteria to take the practical exam.  Based on an average of 65 hours, a student should plan for about $6,500 in costs to obtain a private license.

* There is no minimum time laid out in the FAR for tailwheel.  In order to meet ANY insurance company's requirements, YOU WILL NEED at least 10 hrs of tailwheel instruction before you solo.  This course is very comprehensive and rigorous, designed to make you confident in flying tailwheel.
