IFR Ground School
Starts Feb 6!
Most students have already met some of the below requirements and can finish their rating near the minimum time!  See us for a program tailored to you!
FAA Requirements

- Hold a current private pilot certificate
- Be able to read, speak, write and understand the english language
- Log ground training or complete a home study course on the areonautical knowledge areas of the instrument rating.
- Take and pass the instrument written test.
- Log and recieve flight training in the areas of operation in the Instrument PTS
- Take and pass the practical flight test for the instrument rating.
Flight training and experience required

- 50 hours of cross country time as pilot in command (after your private license)
- a total of 40 hours of simulated or actual instrument time on the areas  of operation in the PTS.  15 of the 40 need to be from an authorized instructor
- A dual cross country flight 250 NM in total distance to three airports along ATC directed routing, using three different kinds of instrument approaches
- 3 hours of training in the 60 days prior to the test
Fly our 1980 Cessna 172N that is well equipped to take the flight test in and able to preform the tasks neccessary in the Instrument PTS.  Before you train anywhere else, make sure their airplane is capable of the above!
