Her green-grey eyes are occasionally obscured by her dyed-black hair, which she generally keeps tied back for matches, revealing four silver hoops in her left ear. On the back of her left hand she has a small aspen leaf tattoo. Ring Attire : Amalie wears black, football-style shoulderpads to the ring with lengthy steel spikes protruding from the shoulders [which she removes before wrestling]. In the ring, Amalie favours a sporty look : she wears black, form-fitting women's shorts, dark red kneepads and elbowpads, black martial arts-style padded gloves, and a black and red wrestling sports bra with an emblem of the mythical phoenix emblazoned across the chest. On her head, she'll often wear a blue or black bandana over her black hair, and her feet are covered by black wrestling boots with highly-polished metal plates running the length of the laces. Personality/Gimmick : Amalie's a high-flying athlete out to push herself and her opponents to the absolute limit, while still trying to please her new-found fans. However, during her startling rise to the top, she's developed something of an ego that she occasionally has to fight to control. She's proud of being a part of the "new breed" of wrestling, though this sometimes borders on arrogance when dealing with members of the stodgy "old guard". Some habits, however, die hard and it's not unlikely that Amalie would bring a kendo stick into a match if she's being threatened with an equally painful object. At the core, she is the purest form of athlete. Driven by a strong will to win and indomitable spirit, she prides herself on being the absolute best she can be. In the ring, Amalie's an incredibly focused individual with a real need to win : if it weren't for Amalie's sister providing what's probably a much-needed family distraction, she'd eat, sleep and breathe wrestling all day long. Trained in the arts of Japanese puroresu wrestling, Mexican lucha libre and mixed martial arts, Amalie is a sight to behold in the ring. Amalie stands on the top rope, her foe standing and facing her. Amalie springboards off the top rope twice and drives the foe's head into the mat with a DDT. An incredibly difficult and stunning move, Amalie's done her best to perfect it. Three Strengths : 1 - Focus : Amalie is often single-minded in her determination to win. 2 - Speed : she's quick - both mentally and physically. 3 - Her strength, relative to her size. Appearances are deceiving, Amalie's stronger than she looks. Three Weaknesses: 1 - Impatience : she's incredibly impatient sometimes, often trying to take on too much or accomplish a lot all at once whe she should just ease off for a few moments. She tends to push herself too hard at times. 2 - Lack of confidence : Amalie continually underestimates and second-guesses herself, giving her opponents a chance to capitalise on moments of hesitation. 3 - Humanity : since the change from Megaera to Amalie, Amalie seems to have lost a great deal of that cold ruthlessness she once possessed. As a woman working in a man's field, the cold attitude helped her keep her motivated and on track. |
