University of Minnesota researchers are looking for help to recruit girls & parents for a calcium study to learn more about household influences on intake of calcium-rich foods. Girls must be between 10-13.
They would like to attend a meeting with troop to describe the study and take an informational letter and consent form to parents.
Girls with a signed consent form will then take a survey (about 40 minutes time) and parents will be mailed a survey.
A $5 WalMart card will be given to each girl who completes the survey.

Trainings "Cover Your Assets" training tentatively planned following the November leader meeting at 7:45 pm.

Sunshine Fund - The Sunshine Chairperson sends cards/flowers to service unit members who need a bit of sunshine! (births, illness, etc.) The Sunshine Fund envelope is being passed around tonight and again in October. Please consider donating $1 or $2 dollars if you are able. If you know of someone in need of sunshine, please let Nancy G. of troop 937 know.
Registration Night is Tuesday, September 19th at St. Peter's O'Reilley Hall, 7-8 pm.
School coordinators, we need you there! It would be great if we had two leaders from each school to help parents fill out forms and answer their questions.
We could also use help setting up at around 6 pm. Please help out if you can!

Fall Round-up Parade in North St. Paul is Saturday, September 23, 2006, 3 pm. Line-up is at 2:30. Northern Lights is part of Group A. Our line-up number is 23 on 7th Ave. Please call Dawn Fisher for more information.
Registrations will be checked for all events. ALL girls MUST be registered at every Northern Lights event.

Emma's Place - Permanent housing for single mom's with 4 or more children. Looking for a troop/troops to help with programming for these girls. Junior troop or older. Meetings need to be held at Emma's Place unless transportation to some events can be coordinated.
