Septmeber of Junior Year
  -
Take an SAT study course (even if you plan to take college prep class)  Many scholarships hinge on
    SAT scores!  (Coach Hinchcliffe can tutor players.  He was trained at Huntington Learning Center
    in New York).


December of Junior Year
  -
Register for January SATs
  -Do NOT plan to take SAT's during the Season, March through mid-May.


January-February of Junior Year
  -
Develop focus list of approximately 15 schools.
  -Selected players should apply to try-out for the Free-State All-Star team.  See Coach Hinchcliffe
    for applications.
  -Take January SATs (You may want to take them again to improve your scores before colleges
    really start recruiting you).  DO NOT plan on taking SATs during the season (the next
    registration is April for the late-May/June SAT).


April-May of Junior year
  -
Schedule of Camps, All-Star try-outs, and other "meet market" opportunities.
  -See your counselor regarding NCAA Clearinghouse and collegiate eligibility


May-June (End of season - Last day of school) of Junior year
  -
Individual player and his parents meet with coach and discuss appropriate schools and level
    of college lacrosse for player.
  -Player to write letters to "Interest List" coaches introducing himself and stating which camps
    he will attend.
  -Have Coach Hinchcliffe or Gebelein phone "Interest List" coaches on behalf of player.
  -Selected Players: try-out for Free-State Team


Summer prior to Senior year
  -
Participate in Summer Camps including recruiting camps such as Top 205.
  -Participate in Heroes' Summer lacrosse leagues.


August prior to Senior year
  -
Edit "Interest List" (e.g., add, delete schools), should now have 6-10 schools.

September 1 of Senior year
  -
Player to write letters to all "Interest List" coaches again expressing interest in program and
    asking about their recruiting process.
  -Finish sending away for applications from "Interest List" schools.
  -Have Coach Hinchcliffe phone "Interest List" coaches to re-enforce the player's interest and
    ask for the next step in recruiting process.


September-October of Senior year
  -
Normally, college coaches call players during this time and may invite players to campus for
    an official visit.
  -Possibly register for November SAT (test scores may come to late for lacrosse recruiting).


October 1 of Senior year
  -
Receive all applications.

November-December of Senior year
  -
Formally apply to "Interest List" schools and mail applications.
  -Possible re-take SAT


January 1 of Senior year
  -
ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE IN THE MAIL
