Secretariat was titled Horse of the Year twice, and was give the Eclipse award for Best 2 and 3 year old, plus Best Grass Horse in 1973 for his wins in the Man O'War Stakes and Cana-dian International. No other horse had captured the hearts or imgainations of the racing fans, or dominated the track as Secretariat had. Every horse is campared to him, and every promising colt is hoped to be like him. But no matter how much one tries or wishes, there will never be another Secretariat. |
