Future
Starting from Thursday May 26 our team of foreigners will be expanding. Gavin from Tasmania arrives, then May 31st Jono returns with two short term helpers, and Cheryl returns to Canada for the summer on June 15.
Please pray about these specific points.
- That the team from USA> will be able to grow personally as well as be bold in reaching out to strangers in a strange country. Pray for God's hand over the organization and attendance of all "events".
- Pray for a boat that we can buy and for grreat weather for the camp. Also pray that it will be not just a gathering of people who are Christians, but rather that it will be a time of Christian Fellowship.
- Pray for the people who are returning or ccoming to Ukraine. Pray against depression and illness, as well as loss of luggage. Pray for speedy adaption to the every day hassles of life, and that they will be able to bless God's people here in Rzhyshchiv.
Spring is here meaning that we are able to venture more conveniently and profitably into the great outdoors! Future ministry will involve basketball at the students dorms, and being able to “hang” with guys and girls in informal settings.
Future events
A team of Americans is coming in June (11-15?). They are from Arizona, and it will be the second time for many of them to be here. Actual times and events are yet to be finalized, depending on the talents the team brings with them.
Jono Miller and Ben Clarke are trying to launch an annual Calvary Chapel youth camp. They have both run youth camps on islands in the Dnipro River that winds around Rzhyshchiv. There is scope and need for a get together of the widely dispersed believers for fellowship and encouragment. And it has to be cheap. So we are trying to get at least 200 young people to sleep on a mosquito infested island for a week in July (11-15).
Billed as 120 hours of non stop Christian Fellowship on an exotic island in the Dnepro River, this should be a tiring but God willing great time of strengthening individuals and the body of Christ as a whole.
