It seemed impossible that we were in the midst of Winter up here in the North Country. Our dreams of having a White Christmas, disintegrated along with the cash we once had in our pockets. On January 14, 2007, it was a balmy 40 degrees and what could have been mistaken as a late Fall Day. But the very next day, we awoke to several inches of snow, and it was still coming down. By nightfall, a whopping five to ten inches had accumulated in St. Lawrence County. Being Martin Luther King Day, the school district was spared the use of a Snow Day. |
