Jane
Clark was born to Charles Clark and Lucinda German (Lucinda's parents,
Jacob German and Margaret Raynor were United Empire Loyalists, so they
are probably of American birth). Jane was born on July 17, 1841 in Prince
Edward County, Ontario. She had seven siblings, of which she was the third
child. Jane married Arra Delong on May 1, 1862 and they had four children:

The family moved west from Ontario
to Morden, Manitoba by 1881. The first home they lived in was a log house
on a hill, one mile south of Morden.
Jane passed away at age 70
on February 12, 1912, predeceased by both her husband Arra who passed away
on February 16, 1909 and her daughter, Beatrice, who fell ill with typhoid
and died at the age of 38 in 1907. |
