2 medium onions, chopped
2 lbs ground beef
One can red kidney beans
One can pork and beans
Two cans sliced mushrooms, drained
One large can tomatoes
3 Tb chili powder
1 Tb salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 Tb vinegar
Brown ground beef in a large covered frypan. Add onions and cook until tender. Add other ingredients and simmer one hour covered, stirring frequently. Flavor is enhanced if refrigerated overnight. Serve with thick slices of garlic toast.
Makes about 10 servings.
