Elderlegends has finally come on board with a few new maps and hopefully the start of his guest column. EL added Fighter to Lord guild map, Maps of Skuldoon and the vale of ruin. Should be finishing up with the nether page as we finally recieved the jpegs needed. Send in your maps, guest column or fact of the day and we will post it here.

Added mapping software to the downloads section per C.E.A. Thanks for the tip. Added the Rangerlord quest map as well as the WarWitch quest map to the guides page. Hope they help.

Added a couple of new/old trainers to the downloads page. For those of you that are spellcasters it would be better to play 1.0 till you have enough gold (around 200K) from the exploits then convert to 1.1. Since the junk inventory will be fixed in 1.2 spellcasters will actually be able to have the gold to buy spells. New maps added to the Maps/Guides section. Check them out and send in your Fact of the Day and we will post it here. Still looking for a couple of more guest columns to begin on a regular basis so don't be shy and send in your submissions here.

Added another column by Briar and Elderlegend will start his up this week some time. From what we have heard 1.2 will not be available until automap and the character customization features are finished. Multiplayer fixes will have to wait for 1.3. Too bad since multiplayer would greatly enhance long term sales and help Heuristic Park hit a home run rather than a walk. The Developers are working hard at correcting the early release forced by DC games. We hope, like us, you have patience and know that some competent people are on the job getting it done. We are betting one more week till 1.2 and about a month till 1.3 and the bulk of the patches are finished. If you ever played Diablo 2 like some of us here, you will know it took almost 14 patches and the game, although extraordinarily stable is still in need of patching due to morons hacking into the code and ruining closed multiplayer online.

Briar has started the guest columns with two nice articles, one on race and attributes the other on skill observations. Great stuff check them out here. Still looking for others to contribute game and non game related columns. No word on the 1.2 patch although we know from conversations with a dev that the junk inventory is fixed as well as some of the costing issues. Junk inventory is huge to the spell caster classes since without the dough you can't get the spells. Keep up the hints on new maps, walkthroughs and other game related material as we are dedicated to bringing all the info by gamers for gamers here. We give full credit to whoever does the work, we just do the linking and posting. Feng's map has been pirated by a site as their own which in our opinion is horse manure. Keep up the good work folks and we will keep posting it. Send in your fact of the day and we will post it. Also any tips or tricks we will post in the fact of the day as well. Thanks for the support.

Trainers and external mapping programs added to the downloads section. Normally we don't endorse these type of programs but if you get stuck with some bug any and all of these should work for you to get you out of a jam. A good reference point would be when the guard gets stuck in the door at the Galdrin's tower in Arindale. That bug ruined my game and set me back a day since I hadn't done a save.

Patch 1.2 being developed. We are hoping CHUK, DWB and others are able to get a functional multi up and running as it will greatly enhance the game. Lots of info added to the site check it out and send in your comments.

Dungeon Lords released Stateside expected release date elsewhere within the next few weeks. Solid release even though complaints are abound on bugs. No solid multi play yet as the developers failed to learn from Ascaron's mistakes with Sacred. Lets hope that the development team is a good group and that CHUK22 is not the exception. Overall as a single player game we have enjoyed playing it and LAN works fine as well. Still hoping a closed server is included later on since the game has HUGE potential and a massive audience (think Diablo 2 LOD). Great job overall although in the three copies we bought one had two CD two's each of which was incomplete (hopefully someone in Dreamcatcher caught it early ). Have fun playing and send us in your FOTD.

Dungeon Lords goes gold. Expected release date is Wednesday 05/03/05. Anyone interested in doing character guides let us know. We will be setting up a 24/7 server to play on and will be posting it here depending on how the multi-player system works.

We are digging deeper into the game and its' physical zone thanks to "Tenka" on the Typhoon forums who posted this. The demo crashes quite frequently since we are not in the designated area but it is worth it for sure. Check out the thumbnails and see all the cool details. Hopefully within the next month the game will still be out. The date is still 04/20/05 as far as we know and this article from yesterday confirms that with the old man himself. Exciting neat game we hope you all enjoy it for what it is worth.

The demo was released today to mixed reviews. Check out the Typhoon and DC forums for more info. Overall it is solid. Needs work and the demo is missing some key components but I for one am looking forward to it.

We are still looking for people to contribute on all levels. So far we have Mykaelo, Spizz and E.L. onboard for various assignments. Anyone interested use the link on the home page and let us know.

TXA1265 (aka Mike) has posted this nice letter to the publishers and devs. E.L. gave him a hard time with it but here's hoping his message got across.
02-15-05
The official release is now scheduled for April 20th 2005. Here's hoping it's finished.

As we said earlier the multiplayer beta was an in house affair. "CHUK22" posted this update confirming what we were told two weeks before. CLICK HERE: Basically they either didn't get enough responses stateside (easy to believe given the lack of communication) or they want to keep a tight lid on a potentially awesome game. From CHUK's response it will be a quake style engine. Also found that the multiplayer beta did occur in Germany as well. CLICK HERE: We did a rough translation with Babblefish and basically their is/was a multiplayer testing being done in Germany by DTP whoever they are. Well it looks like the game is a go although we are not counting on a 01/01/05 release as promised. Our friend who owns a small gaming shop told us that he hasn't heard anything different about a release date other than the initial Feb date. Looking around at major retailers websites Bestbuy, Circuitcity, Amazon, and even Walmart their respective release dates are 01/01/05. So who knows. Either way it will be at the soonest a quarter one release. If anyone actually buys the prerelease box and it actually contains some game info let us know. Keep those emails coming and thanks for your support.

Well contrary to what we were told earlier; the multiplayer beta did not occur on any scale greater than a few people for the respective companies promoting the game. Most major sites selling the game list 01-01-05 as their sell date for the game. Local distributors still insist that 02-15-04 as their sell date. We are still hoping for a quarter one release of 2005 but given total silence on the part of developers (since early leaks) and distributors we are to say the least dismayed. Come back in a couple of weeks and see how it shakes out. Good luck and keep yourselves safe.
