NortheastIron took to a brand new racing facility at NJMP this past weekend. A nice new and very fast
Lightning Circuit was broke in by the NEI racers and time trialers.
Team Mohr showed up with a freshly repaired race car caused by previous Beaverun contact and unloaded with a 1:13.654 pole setting lap, new track record and eventually the race win. Frank Rossi was on hand with his C4 corvette taking 2nd place as well as Bill Headley, Bill McNerney and Jim Bianco Sr. Headley had the usual brake pedal issues forcing him to settle with a 3rd spot. McNerney ran his first race with his newly acquired #97 Firebird finishing in the 4th spot. Bianco Sr. rounded out the 5th position with his Camaro. All in all a great weekend and a top notch racing facility.
