NortheastIron hit the Beaverun road course for the first time with EMRA.  Excess sun and heat were cooled by a nice breeze providing great weather for the event weekend.
The fun began as Team Mohr showed up saturday morning with a broke high pressure line on the steering rack which somehow happened on the tow in.  They managed to get a new rack from the local parts store and get the car out for qualifying and took the pole with a 1:06.543.  Al Watson and Eric Bellows trailed with a 1:06.747 and 1:14.107 respectively.  Bellows also had issues with a transmission failure leaving him only 4th gear to run with.  Meanwhile Team Mohr went out in the enduro practice and got hit in the right rear tire resulting in a bent axle.  Some back yard engineering took place and the rotor/wheel was shimed to run straight, well straight enough.  Come race time Team Mohr took their mustang to a win with Watson second and Bellows third.
Sunday morning came and everyone was ready to rock, wounded or not.  Team Mohr took the pole again with a 1:06.044, setting the new NEI lap record, to Watsons 1:07.232 and Bellows 1:10.217.  At the green Mohr hammered down bent axle and all with Watson and Bellows in tow.  In the opening lap Bellows spun in the right hander coming onto the front stretch and was hit by another racer bringing out the black flag for all to get the incident cleaned up.  Bellows was uninjured and the car had minimal left rear fender damage.  At the restart Mohr kept on it and held the lead until about lap 20 when the vibration got worse causing some braking issues which allowed Watson to get by for the lead.  At the checkered Watson took the win with Team Mohr not far behind.
