Am I the cowboy or the rider...
I wonder...

Ghost Riders in the Sky
(The Outlaws)

An old cowboy went riding out
one dark and windy day...
Upon a ridge he rested
as he went upon his way...

When all at once a mighty herd
of red-eyed steers he saw,
Plowing through the ragged sky...
half a mile across.

Their brands were still on fire
and their hooves were made of steel.
Their horns were black and shiny
and their hot breath he could feel...

A bolt of fear went through him
as they thundered through the sky.
He saw the riders coming hard,
with their mournful cry.

Yippie-ki-a
Yippie-ki-o
Ghost riders in...
Ghost riders in the sky.

Yippie-yi-a
Yippie-yi-o
Ghost riders in...
Ghost riders in the sky...

Their faces gaunt, their eyes blurred,
Their shirts all soaked with sweat.
They're ridin' hard to catch that herd,
but they ain't caught 'em yet...

They've got to ride forever
on that page up in the sky...
On horses snorting fire...
As they ride I can hear them cry.

Yippie-yi-a
Yippie-yi-o
Ghost riders in...
Ghost riders in the sky.
Ghost riders in the sky....
