| We promote non-motorized recreational trails gathering volunteers and supporting establishment of multi-use non-motorized trails with connectivity, from Monterey County to Santa Barbara County. This volunteer group promotes trails for the enjoyment of walkers, joggers, mountain bikers, equestrians, nature lovers and historians at every opportunity. A large part of the community here in San Luis Obispo County California feels that trails establishment and access is important to health both physical and mental. As our communities continue to grow it becomes increasingly important that recreational space be carefully planned and developed with future generations in mind. Parks are wonderful "islands" spaced between homes, shops and businesses. Trails/non-motorized pathways can and do historically connect the dots. Public transit can be enhanced by trails in or near parks and communities; and public safety is increased with the presence of the eyes and ears of a public who care.
