| VOLUNTEERS | |||||||||
| Volunteers are the basis for any non-profit organization! While larger organizations and groups can actually afford to pay their employees, many organization are of a grassroots origin, and are staffed by volunteers. Such is the case with the Pagan Aid Network. From our national Board of Directors, and the Overseers (Directors) of the state Circles (Chapters), no one is "employed" by the Pagan Aid Network. We donate our time, effort, services, and money when we can and when we can afford to! Please think about donating back to your community by volunteering with the NC Circle of the Pagan Aid Network. We need Regional Directors statewide, from the mountains (Western District), to the Piedmont, Charlotte, Triad, Sandhills (Fayetteville area), as well as the Outer Banks, and the Coast (Wilmington and points south). | |||||||||

| Carla Smith (Lady SilverHawk Moon) is the NC Overseer or Director of the NC Circle of Pagan Aid Network. Formerly a member of the Board of Directors of W.A.R.D. and currently the Director of the Charlotte Metro Pagan Pride Day. Carla is active in the Pagan community in North Carolina. She assists with the NC Pagan Wilderness Weekend at Llamas each year. She has been the Director of the Charlotte Metro PPD since its inception in 2002. Carla used to be the National Media Director and Research Director of W.A.R.D. as well as the NC Director of W.A.R.D.'s Pagan Prison Ministry within the NC Department of Corrections until 2003. Carla is a single mother of 2 teenage boys, and being a single mother has meant many hardships for her. She recently returned to work, after being unemployed for 1 1/2 years due to personal illness. A former receipient of Work First, Carla is familiar with DSS services, and Child Support Enforcement in North Carolina, as well as other local assistance agencies in Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, and Catawba counties. She is the Regional Director of North Carolina PAN in the Foothills Region. | |||||||||
