The Hot '10'
Skimboards can be used on most beaches in the U.K!
The ideal beach is sandy, with few rocks ( they can hurt!!)
and a sloping profile, so you will get a prolonged 'wash-back'.
Here are a selection of our favoutite spots! If you have any
others, sign the guest book at lets us know! We love checking
out new spots as much as you do!!
7- Newquay = If you must experience 'the Quay' then take your
Skimboard with you! Crantock, Fistral and Perran beaches are all
skim-a-ble, but be preapared to get totally 'zooed' out!

1 - Seaburn = Travelling North on the A19, take the City Centre turn off
towards Sunderland, Then Follow the signs to Roker. Loads of
Parking along the sea front and also numerous 'Chippies'!! If you
can tolerate the local scum-bags, Small 'yappy' dogs and winter
pollution, then this place is pretty cool!
2- Cullercoats/Longsands = From the Tyne tunnel follows signs to
Whitley Bay or 'The Coast'. Loads of parking next to the Sea-life
centre. 'Localism'  is pretty hot here so be aware!
3 - Druridge Bay = Just up the road from Whitley Bay is Druridge.
Its a bit manky, but theres a whole lot of sandy beach! Nice
country park behind too, with an over-head tow for all you
     wake-boarders out there!
4 - Saltburn = This picture says it all really! Wicked surf when it up!
Markse-by-the-sea is the place to go 'skimming', Good chips too!
5- Southshields = South side of the river Tyne. Lots of sandy beach, but
pollution is pretty bad here! Best time to go is a week day in May or
June, before all the local grommits break0up for their summer holiday.
6 - Morecambe Bay = If the Lakes are your thing, then take your board
with you! Miles of tidal sand, just gagging to be 'skimmed'! Errr try
to avoid the Nuclear power station though!
8 - Woolacombe = This place is pretty ace for 'stand-up' and body-
boarding, and is none to shabby for us too! Follow the A39 to
Appledore and get yourself down to 'Zulu bank', But keep it
      to yourself! Right!

       More Hot spots soon!
9 - Hossengor / France = Going a bit continetal with this one! This
                                      is about as-good-as-it-gets in Europe!
Everyone we know who has been, raves
about it! Head to Graviere for virtually
continuous tubes! Be aware of 'sneaker' sets
rolling in behing you however! Nasty!
Sorry, not a very
  good picture of
     Hossengor, but
       you get the
         general idea!
           Phat surf!!!!!
