Highlights: He got two RBI singles in his first varsity baseball game as a mid-season call-up. The sophomore was promptly thrown out at second trying to advance to second on the throw. He leaned his lesson and is known for his solid fundamental play one expects from a coach's son. Though he gave up baseball after high school he continued to use his smooth stroke with the Slugfest softball team where he was a steady force at the plate and in the field.

Role: This multifaceted man has many roles: poet, teacher, librarian, husband and new homeowner. He will try to swing baseball player into those duties when needed for the A's. He will likely play first base or DH when called on to play.
