News for W/End 23/02/02

We had a really busy Net on Sunday, and according to my friend John 68-EU-707 the Net was very lively on Saturday as well with strong singnals coming in from all over Europe and N.America, unfortunately due to work commitments Saturdays are almost out for me.

What a pleasant surprise it was to speak to Michael from east Berlin once again, one of my most cherished qsl cards is a card I received from Michael while the Berlin Wall was STILL standing.
Michael had joined us on the Net hoping to meet up with his radio friend Ben 43-AX-101, but mother nature did not play her part as Michael did not have conditions to the 43 division, I did make contact with Ben and we had great conditions with 5/5 most of the way.

We were joined also by our old friend Llyodd  from Prince Edward Island and he was 5/9 as was Mr Fred 2-SD-211 from S.Carolina, and I had a great qso with Nico 1-DR-134 who was using only 5 watts through a wire antenna from his balcony, lets hope the good propagation continues.

Well that's about for now so until next weekend..take care and good dxing  73's & 51's.

My sincere thanks to all of those operators who joined us on the North Atlantic Net over the weekend, as always your company is  greatly appreciated.
