Hunsbury
West Hunsbury is a southern-western district containing
three main housing estates and Swan Valley; an industrial estate
to the far west and adjacent to the M1. Swan Valley houses
warehouses for Morrisons, Levis and many more. West Hunsbury,
near Camp Hill contains large houses with leafy streets and views
of the countryside, mainly concentrated around Ladybridge Drive
and Banbury Lane, West Hunsbury's houses were mainly built during
80s/90s and this decade. Shelfleys, south east of West Hunsbury,
in and around Ladybridge Drive and Hunsbury Hill Road is another
extremely ideal place to live with low levels of crime and
countryside on your doorstep. Merefield, to the east of Shelfleys
is an estate around Towcester Road and Clannell Road and nearby
East Hunsbury. Merefield is also home to Danes Camp Leisure
Centre and Tesco Superstore aswell as the Counties Crematorium,
further down the Towcester Road off the M1.
West Hunsbury is sometimes refered to as Hunsbury Hill or just
Hunsbury and is one of the oldest settlements in Northampton,
Hunsbury Hill Fort is a historical piece of land to justify this.
