Looking for a home with a view or just want to take a stroll? Here are some streets in North City neighborhoods where you can find one.
See the river, the city and more. As close as you can get. Use the Duquesne Bridge walkway to get to Point State Park. Enjoy a range of views of downtown and other neighborhoods from Allegheny Observatory and Riverview park.
Up Itin and follow Haslage to the end for a panoramic treat. It's been called "better than Mount Washington." See what you think. Warning: the lights from a baseball park can be distracting.

Dunloe Street Like many of Pittsburgh's views, you have to see them when the trees are bare. As you can see, there are rewards to timing your visit correctly.
Fountain Street/Henderson Street Head to Fineview for the panorama's this neighborhood was named for.
Located on Troy Hill, this street offers a vista extending from Bloomfield to the Golden Triangle. Look straight onto the Strip District, Allegheny River and Hill District.
Walk up the stairway at the top of Middle Street, up to the left and across the walkway to James Street. Enjoy the view from the walkway and from the stairways on Middle and James. Perrysville Avenue Travel North on Federal Street then turn left onto Perrysville. Take in the views along Perrysville, then turn right onto Clayton for more amazing views. One of the few streets where you can find a view and still be on the flats.
From the Japanese church at the top of Province Street, walk beside the white church house to the stairway at the rear of the church. Walk down the stairs to Penn Brewery for some refreshments.
Enter from the South side of Brighton road and wind your way to the edge. Overlooks downtown, West End, Mt. Washington. Immediately below is the California Avenue Post Office.
The corner of Vista and Goehring offers a unique view of the Golden Triangle. Drive to the landing or use the Allegheny Riverfront Trail to access and be rewarded with a stunning view from a slightly different angle.
