Rules and Regulations
1. With the exception of the Mrs. and the Senior Mr. Divisions, I am not married, have never been married, and have never had a marriage annulled. I have never given birth to a child and am not pregnant nor am I a parent. If any of these conditions change, I will notify my Director and I understand that this may effect my eligibility.
2. I am competing in the Age Division that applies to my birth date.
3. I am of good health and moral character. I have never been arrested or convicted of any crime.
4. I have been a resident of South Carolina for a minimum of 6 months and I am a US Citizen.
5. I agree that if selected to represent the City of North Charleston, I will participate in the State/National Pageants and abide by the rules and regulations governing that pageant.
6. I agree that if I win the Title, I will not compete in any other pageants during the time I hold my Local, State, National Title, unless authorized by my Director.
7. I hreby release, unconditionally and forever, any claim against American National USA Pageants and/or Miss Universe L.P., LLLP, their respective officers, directors, partners, employees, agents and assigns, which I may have by virtue of my participation in my Local/State/National Pageant or by any use of my name, likeness, voice, and/or biography in connection with my pageants, inlcluding use in promotional advertising material.
8. I understand and agree that all issues as to eligibility shall be determined by American National USA Pageants and/or Miss Universe L.P., LLLP and I agree to abide by that determination both as to and other applicants.
9. I understand and agree that my acceptance as a contestant and my continued consideration for the title is under the sole and complete discretion of my Pageant Director.
I understand and agree that if I am selected as the winner, as one of my obiligations, I will go during the time required for me to appear in the State/National Pageants. I also understand and agree that if I am selected as the winner, all decisions concerning my preparation for the State/National Pageants are to be made by my Pageant Director. I hereby agree that the site, date, time, production, manner and method of judging of the Local/.State/National contests shall be solely at the discretion of my Pageant Director and the decision of the judges shall be final. I understand and agree that if I am selected as the winner, all decisions concerning production, promotions, photographs, programs, appearances and all the other aspects of the pageant(s), as well as my reign, are solely at the discretion of my Pageant Director, Rhonda Jerome. I further agree and permit my photograph, voice recording and name to be used without charge for all publicity and commercial purposes and any telecast of the State/National Pageants. I understand that I am able to withdraw from the competition at any time, but under no circumstances shall be entitled to a refund or transfer to another contestant any fee, either full or part, that I or my sponsors have paid. There will be absolutely no exceptions to this policy.
I agree that, if I am selected as the winner of my pageant, that for one year from the day of the selection, professional affairs of said winner shall be under the sole and complete management of the Pageant Director and that I will not give any written or verbal endorsements of any mercantile, commodity or commericial or charitable organization without obtaining specific written authority from Pageant Director. I agree that I will make no appearances whatsoever unless official authorization is granted by the Pageant Organizations or its' agents. I understand and agree by doing so could result in the loss of my title and return of any and all prizes awarded. I agree that I will not incur, and am not authorized to incur, any debts on behlalf of the American National USA Pageants and/or Miss Univers L.P., LLLP, or their Directors. I voluntarily disclose that prior to the date of this pageant, I have not engaged in any activities, which if disclosed to the public, would bring, or tend to bring, myself into disrepute, ridicule or contempt. Failure of the winning contestant to comply with any of the terms, provisions, restrictions or obligations hereof, shall, at the option of Pageant Director, result in contestants's disqualification, loss of title and return of any and all prizes awarded.
I understand and agree, that I will compete in 4 Categories of Competition plus 1 Optional. I also understand and agree that I can compete in only 1 Division. WE DO NOT DOUBLE CROWN.
By the signature(s) below, applicants and his/her parent or legal guardian certify that they have read and understand the rules and regulations as set forth within and that applicant meets the requirements and will comply with the rules and regulations stated. Any untrue statement(s) or failure to comply may result in applicant's disqualification.
